let’s pause for a sec and talk about instinct.co
VCs, notable people, successful people hyping it up all week. They all just giving away their emails and all their personal data, emails, messages:
“sub-licensable, worldwide, perpetual and irrevocable license to access…store, reproduce… any Materials…to train, fine-tune, and improve upon our technologies”
“permit access to or disclose your Materials to third parties”
oof
We analyzed 23M TikTok videos and 13.3T views.
Frankly, a lot of social media advice is bullshit.
Best time to post: basically noise.
Don’t post too much: wrong.
Keep it short: wrong.
Stay in your niche: barely matters.
Take a break and the algo punishes you: nope.
21 rules tested.
When you post is noise. What you post is signal.

As a founder, your number one job is to eat shit.
You're on the call with the upset customer. You need to fire people by telling them directly. You're listening to the engineer who wants to quit due to burnout. You have to read the 40-page vendor contract, which is a nightmare to go through.
Every hard, uncomfortable thing lands on your desk. That's the whole job. You're here to absorb the bad stuff so everyone else can keep moving.
Josh Baer, you will be sorely missed. Condolences to Amy, the kids, and all of mankind.
Rest in peace my friend.
Capital Factory founder Joshua Baer, a visionary force in the Texas technology and start-up ecosystem, died Tuesday night in a private plane crash in Laredo, the organization confirmed to the American-Statesman.
"Joshua was a fearless leader, a brilliant partner, and a dear friend to so many of us," Capital Factory President Bryan Chambers said.

So much props to Benchmark for the Cerebras IPO on X and in the media...
...we should be giving flowers to the GOAT @vassallo and @FoundationCap for incubating Cerebras and supporting them at every stage.

The people making $100m off the SpaceX IPO are not the type of people that would just retire and live a comfortable life.
The startup ecosystem in Austin is about to hit escape velocity.
You kind of need mass liquidity events like this to birth the next silicon valley.
