I got myself a completely overkill large glass mousepad (ASUS ROG Moonstone Ace L) and so far I don't regret it. My new Logitech MX Master 4 mouse is heavier (153g) than my previous G400 S (109g), but now it glides better so it won't matter as much. xitter.cf/vr_hai/status/21083321…

I am not particularly looking to use Claude Code, but we're at the point where if I don't teach myself how to use AI tools effectively, my sentiment is that I will become unemployable.

Hypothetically, if every software engineer were to use AI (yes, in reality, many won't, especially in specialist fields), that means like a math formula you can remove AI from the equation. So the real question for me becomes, what will differentiate me from other job candidates.

I am also not interested in becoming a developer who becomes useless the moment AI prices hike by 10x, or hardware upgrades to run the latest AI models become unaffordable to the common folk, or my country/Europe gets hit by trade restrictions. I keep learning languages as usual.
