🚨 𝗠𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗦, 𝗛𝗢𝗕𝗕𝗦 𝗣𝗔𝗜𝗗 $𝟭.𝟮𝗠 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗜-𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗣 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗠 𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗣 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗝𝗨𝗗𝗚𝗘 𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗗 𝗙𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗬 Authentic Campaigns, the firm receiving more than $1.2 million from Kris Mayes and Katie Hobbs this election cycle, was co-owned and led by Loren Merchan while her father, Judge Juan Merchan, presided over Trump’s New York criminal trial and refused requests to recuse himself. Now look at the numbers: Kris Mayes → Authentic Campaigns: $766,162 Katie Hobbs → Authentic Campaigns: $457,000 Over $1.2 MILLION combined. The firm had already drawn scrutiny from Congress. In 2024, the House Judiciary Committee subpoenaed Authentic Campaigns for documents and communications as part of an inquiry into potential conflicts of interest and bias involving Judge Merchan, his daughter’s political work, and Trump’s trial. Authentic Campaigns was later subpoenaed by federal prosecutors in Chicago in a separate investigation involving its political fundraising activities and communications. Think about that: a judge’s daughter led a Democratic political consulting firm working for major Democratic candidates while her father presided over the criminal case against Democrats’ biggest political opponent. And now Mayes and Hobbs have paid more than $1.2 million to that same firm in this election cycle alone. To anyone who says Kris Mayes and Katie Hobbs are “for the people,” you’re wrong!
