Curious about where the name Argonauts came from, I looked it up. The use of the ship during the mint and the overall theme of the website had me wondering if there was more behind it. To my surprise, but not really, because it’s @lphaCentauriKid — there is.
In Greek mythology, the Argonauts, or “Argo sailors,” were a group of heroes who sailed to Colchis aboard the ship Argo in search of the Golden Fleece. The name Argonauts comes from their ship, Argo, which itself was named after its builder, Argus. It’s safe to say that Ack is our Argus.
If you’re in the Argonauts Discord and have verified your wallet, you may have noticed that the verified holders channel is named Colchis, the exact destination the Argonauts sailed to in search of the Golden Fleece.
Their journey was filled with adventure, and the Golden Fleece was at the center of it all. Maybe we’re sailing toward our own Golden Fleece and Ack is taking us along for the journey. Maybe not. Either way, it’s pretty cool seeing how this is all unfolding, and how much thought was put behind it.

I have around 300 Argonauts. All were either minted at 0.12 or rebought at 0.12 after people paper-handed over holding 300 United States of America dollars in a piece of art.
A strong community, a solid artist with genuinely good art, and a real collector base sounded like free money to me.
I don't plan on selling any anywhere near this ~0.4 floor.
We deserve so much higher.
