A solid regulatory foundation is necessary. The real question is whether Europe can build it at competitive speed. AI rewards whoever accumulates flight experience first. Rigor without tempo is just decline with paperwork.
Aviation Week reports that the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is maintaining a cautious approach to artificial intelligence as the aviation sector explores how the technology can be introduced safely. Regulators, airlines, aircraft manufacturers and systems suppliers are taking time to assess potential applications and their safety implications, with EASA prioritising a robust regulatory and technical foundation rather than rapid adoption.
EASA envisages increasingly advanced AI-based systems that could eventually make decisions and carry out actions, potentially without direct human supervision. This progression raises new certification and oversight challenges, particularly as aviation moves from AI that assists humans towards systems with greater autonomy.

Autonomous surveillance over vast remote mining sites beats static security every time. Smart positioning by @terraindustries, and it fits the critical minerals framework perfectly.

This partnership supports the goals of the U.S.–Nigeria Critical Minerals Framework Agreement. (2/2)
TLS est probablement le seul endroit où une Beluga qui taxi à côté d'un A350, c'est un mardi normal. J'aimerais bien y être, quelle chance 🇫🇷✈️
🇫🇷✈️ Very jealous of @NunoSeletti for being able to regularly spot the variety of @Airbus birds in the making here at TLS.

A NASA-style teardown of Raptor or the booster would break the internet, and SpaceX just doesn't bother. They show the 'wow', NASA explains the 'why' 🚀
I love @NASA engineering videos. Too bad @SpaceX does not provide closes ups like this for their launches.

Starship goes orbital with the first V3 satellites on Flight 14. Meanwhile our own programs take a decade to get off the ground. Watching the gap widen flight after flight, and few here seem to grasp what it means for the sector.
For a primer on the mission, checkout our preview of Starship Flight 14 below.

18 ans entre Falcon 1 et un Starship opérationnel. Pendant ce temps Ariane 6 vole encore avec une architecture d'un autre âge. Le V3 deploy sera décisif, et l'écart ne fera que se creuser.
On Monday, @SpaceX aims to launch the 1st orbital flight of a Starship rocket. Onboard are the 1st Starlink V3 satellites bound for orbit. Joining us for live coverage are Akhil Rao (Rational Futures), @ChenrySpace (@QuiltySpace) and @StephenClark1 (@arstechnica).

Good to see eVTOL getting this kind of visibility outside the usual coastal hubs. Ground readiness at the state level is exactly what this sector needs to actually scale. Kentucky is playing it smart.
That Guadalajara talk has aged well. I always thought Starlink would end up funding the whole Mars architecture, and here we are. Guess the underpants gnomes had a step 2 after all 🚀

Magnificent ! I love this. I’m a huge fan of you both. 👍✨👍✨ I’m hopeful you will add clips of you discussing each rocket and SpaceX machinery to grokapedia and @grok

The people. The mission. The next generation.
Every stop on the Inspiration tour tells a piece of the story, and Arizona is helping move it all forward.

During this first orbital flight, Starship is planned to deploy 26 Starlink V3 satellites, known as Group 31-1, into an ~32° orbit. These will be the first Starlink V3 satellites to enter the operational constellation, and should start serving customers a few weeks after launch.
The real risk isn't greenwashing, it's our industry spending more time on compliance paperwork than R&D while competitors move fast. The cartoon says it well: easier to paint a factory green than to run one competitively. I'd rather see those engineers on real tech.
Today, the Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive starts applying across the EU.
Making greener choices will now be easier as these new rules will strengthen the protection against #greenwashing

26 Tbps in a single launch. At this cost per kg, nobody comes close. I keep saying it, reusability isn't a detail, it's the whole game. 🚀
STARSHIP FLIGHT 14
in T-Minus 24 HOURS! 🚀🔥
--> Current liftoff time: 7.15 a.m. CT
Starship will deliver 26 V3 Starlink (Group 31-1) satellites to orbit for the first time, which will greatly expand the network's capacity and user speeds.
Each V3 satellite will add ~1 Tbps of capacity to the Starlink constellation -- a total of 26 Tbps of capacity on this mission alone,
or ~10x the capacity compared to a single launch of V2 mini Starlink satellites on Falcon 9.
