Looking good, girl!💙
For ten years, Karlie Kloss has embodied the unmistakable essence of Carolina Herrera’s Good Girl. On the cover of V162, that decade-long relationship comes into full view.
To mark the anniversary, @HouseofHerrera Global Creative Director Wes Gordon custom-designed a dramatic silhouette that comes alive in motion on Karlie. Inspired by a Robert Mapplethorpe portrait of Carolina Herrera, the look recalls the commanding glamour she made her signature while allowing Karlie to bring it somewhere entirely her own. With our deepest thanks to Wes Gordon and Lucas Arraut for their incredible support in bringing this cover to life.
Photographed by Rob Rusling and styled by Patti Wilson, ‘Still That Girl’ extends beyond the image through a conversation with fellow model-muse Kaia Gerber. Together, they reflect on growing up in fashion and the confidence it takes to build a life beyond any single title. It is this freedom to contain many dimensions at once that has connected Karlie to Good Girl from the beginning.

DRAWN TO ANYA! ✍️ V welcomes Anya Taylor Joy as the cover star of V162, our September 2026 issue, where we put imagination to paper and finding plenty of JOY in the process!
The written word has always been part of Anya Taylor-Joy’s life. She keeps journals, travels with nearly a suitcase of books, and has built a career bringing scripts to life. For V162, that connection becomes something she can step into—inspiring a creative dialogue between photographer Nick Knight, stylist Anna Trevelyan, and a new guard of designers who custom-created garments entirely from paper.
Punctuated with the words “I love you my angel,” written by Anya’s mother in @montblanc_world’s Meisterstück pen, the Fall 2026 cover finds the star of the upcoming third installation of ‘Dune’ in conversation with her dear friend @miley for a candid chat about the instincts behind her work, expanding creative ambitions, and learning that sometimes perfection lies in letting go.

Entering the world of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger’s 1948 film ‘The Red Shoes,’ a prima in her own right, @MelanieLBBH plays with its ideas of art and obsession becoming inseparable. Photographed by An Le, Melanie steps into the surreal, a fitting choice for an artist whose imagination has never stopped at music.
“The world tells you, ‘You’re not a filmmaker. You didn’t go to school for that.’ I really do my best to ignore all of that and just follow whatever instinct there is to create.” Like the film that inspired the story, Melanie’s relationship with her art is one of complete immersion, following the instinct to create wherever it takes her.

The Balancing Act🩰
From the sold-out Barclays Center at night to V Magazine's set in the morning, @MelanieLBBH knows how to keep it moving. For a shoot inspired by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger's 1948 film 'The Red Shoes,' Martinez finds a fitting mirror in its tale of a creative who lives—and would die— for her art.
The parallels are clear for an artist who has spent more than a decade building worlds and surrendering herself completely to each one. "The ability to create and make a living off of my art-that is success to me," she tells V Magazine's @LilNervous, also an old collaborator of Martinez's. "I've never had an idea of external validation dictating what success is. Being able to create freely is everything."

Before starring in Ryan Murphy’s culturally inescapable ‘Love Story,’ was already an acclaimed actress, with television roles, films, and even a Tony Award nomination to her name. But her portrayal of beloved ’90s icon Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy has propelled her into a new realm of visibility. It’s a particularly intriguing turn, given that Bessette-Kennedy spent much of her final years trying to protect her privacy from the relentless media attention surrounding both herself and her husband, John F. Kennedy Jr., one of the most famous men in the world. As she steps into a new chapter of her career, the actor chats with V’s @LilNervous about how her career has launched her into the public eye—the very thing her breakout role explored & scrutinized: vmagazine.com/article/v161-t…

A COVER STORY BOUND TO HAPPEN—SOONER…OR SLAYYYTER!
Comparing Slayyyter to Princess Diana is ludicrous. One is a seasoned, 29-year-old pop star—and an unconventional one at that—who raps about how she gets “so gay off that tequila” and has a song called “Throatzillaaa,” whereas the other was an aristocrat-turned-British-royal whose married life and tragic passing were the undeniable epicenter of ‘90s pop culture. But if Princess Diana was the People’s Princess, then Slayyyter may just be pop’s closest modern equivalent: an artist elevated not by industry gatekeepers or million-dollar marketing campaigns, but by a fiercely devoted audience who spent years championing her until the rest of the world finally caught on: vmagazine.com/article/v161-s…

Between @HolHumberstone’s debut album, ‘Paint My Bedroom Black,’ and her recently released sophomore album, ‘Cruel World,’ a lot has shifted. “This past year and a half, I’ve rediscovered bits of me that used to be so integral to who I am,” the musician tells V.
When it comes to songwriting, her creative world has expanded. For ‘Cruel World,’ Humberstone approached the process “with an open mind” and “learned to take it less seriously.” In shaping the visual aesthetic for the new album, Humberstone collaborated with her sister alongside Creative Director Silken Weinberg. “I wanted it to feel like this fantasy world inspired by everything that I used to love as a kid.”
With performances at major festivals lined up this year, along with a North American tour, there seems to be no slowing down for Humberstone—and she prefers it that way.
