AI's context windows are only expanding, but ours are only shrinking 📉. Guessing the delta will only increase

Agentic browsing is exciting but it's now a new race between good actors and bad actors xitter.cf/aryamanTitan/status/19…
We broke @PerplexityComet, it's vulnerable to indirect prompt injection! When asked to summarize a webpage, it unsuspectingly 1) Closes all the other tabs 2) Opens random tabs overwhelming the user (watch with Sound ON 🔊)

As an ad tech nerd, this discussion on FILTERING and SELECTING marriage matches reminds me of marketers who struggle when they don’t know the difference between TARGETING and OPTIMIZING. Relax targeting, but optimize outcome Ad tech really does model life
My short take is that people who want to get married, get married. My longer take is: Many of my single friends (mostly the women) have a hard time differentiating between filtering criteria and selection criteria. It's important to SELECT for values / goals / competency, etc. It's fine to FILTER for income / looks / etc. at the top of the funnel but SELECTING on those things is risky. If you aren't getting what you want, you can adjust and widen your filters but not compromise on selection. A lot of people don't understand the difference between filtering and selecting.

Meta is definitely not alone in this. And its normally overblown too.

1/ Over 90% of the use cases identified by the @IABTechLab Task Force are in fact supported by Privacy Sandbox if the ecosystem is willing to evolve towards privacy. Other use cases in the report directly undermine privacy. Read our full response: developers.google.com/privac…

IAB Tech Lab published a report on Privacy Sandbox today, and I wanted to share the team's POV: - We always welcome input from the industry, however, IAB Tech Lab’s report includes dozens of fundamental errors, inaccuracies and instances of incomplete information. - While we’re disappointed that IAB Tech Lab released the report in this state, we’re encouraged by the many IAB members who are actively building solutions using the Privacy Sandbox APIs. - We look forward to partnering with the IAB Tech Lab in transitioning the industry toward more private solutions. And we'll be publishing an in-depth technical response next week, so stay tuned for more.

Last night leaders from @Yahoo, @dotdashmeredith, @GroupMWorldwide & @IndexExchange shared advice with peers building on Privacy Sandbox. This advice resonated: “Our north ⭐️ is to embrace change” But not all feel this way. We wanted to address some objections we’ve heard here: privacysandbox.com/news/read…

Technical protections such as removing cross-site identifiers and protected ad auctions will go a long way to addressing not only users' privacy expectations but also publishers' concerns around data leakage

The Privacy Sandbox is complicated! Check out this deep dive, and note that the Protected Audience API does allow for cross-site frequency capping and that publishers can, indeed, use Prebid and OpenRTB together with the Protected Audiences API. Good times.bit.ly/46LvJL2

Study found only 51% accuracy using PII for ads targeting, which doesn't seem great to me (never mind the reach or privacy attributes). This is the status quo some in the ecosystem wants to preserve? xitter.cf/humanpropensity/status…
