Midjourney developers caught discussing laundering, and creating a database of Artists (who have been dehumanized to styles) to train Midjourney off of. This has been submitted into evidence for the lawsuit. Prompt engineers, your “skills” are not yours

I consider this a smoking gun for Midjourney's flagrant copyright infringement. A 6-word prompt can replicate a Dune still nearly 1:1 every time. These aren't variations, it's the same prompt run repeatedly.
Try it yourself. Merry Christmas Midjourney.

Gm! More art, really finding my vibe with these. I’m creating purely on gut instinct right now, and I think major themes have to do with natural entropy and how we try to control and prevent it.
Especially in relation to our current world and how it sometimes feels our norms and values are slowly degrading. Or maybe I’m just getting old!

Why are 1418 people still following me lol unfollow me..theres no new art I'm gonna post here

So Midjourney is at the “deleting blatant copyright infringement results” stage I see 🤔
✨but screenshots are forever✨
So @midjourney has now deleted everything I ever prompted from my gallery for calling out their plagiarism and copyright infringement.
Luckily I grabbed this screenshot earlier to show how basically every single Thanos image is damning, and how few it really took.

Just stumbled upon another Twixer drama about using AI in art.
Here are the essentials:
Firstly, if you're using Ai platforms to generate art, you don't hold any IP rights. You can decorate your wall or gift it to your grandma or friends, but selling officially? Nope. These images are trained on other artists work, but pinpointing which one is tricky.
Anyone selling Ai generated art made on AI image generated platforms, without disclosing it's an AI and without IP rights is basically pulling a fast one.
Fraud alert! 🚨
Secondly, if an artist feeds their own AI solely with their artwork, it's like having an extra tool.
In this case, IP is intact, and you can sell it hassle free.
That's why big corps are crafting their own AI systems trained only on in-house art.
That's pretty much it.
My last post on the situation.
I wanted to close the topic but to see some people doubling down on the “@lilajaneart is the victim in all of this” - card is ridiculous.
Also I wanted to make clear that I don’t imply that people like @lphaCentauriKid @art_pleb or others that made a bid have anything to do with the fraud. They just got deceived too and made a bid without doing their research. Maybe not even the closest friends knew about it and made the bid out of friendship to her. It doesn’t matter. She profited of deceiving, infiltrating and using bigger names, making a joke of hard working artists being here for years trying to get seen by the same people.
And again: of course she doesn’t deserve to be bullied in any way.
But other people’s wrong doings don’t justify her scam.
She also doesn’t deserve that some people try to play the victim card on her and rug everything under the table like nothing happened because she blatantly lied and deceived and even had the chance to come clean multiple times when people asked her about it and decided to double down, block anyone and delete her fake wip posts etc.
I wrote her a DM before publishing anything publicly. A very nice, respectful message.
It told her to come clean. That the lie can’t hold up. She blocked me. That’s the way she chooses to handle the situation.
This is not someone that is regretting their mistakes. Instead on top of it she was celebrating the new symbolism of the piece after the controversy. Shameful.
We all can forgive to an honest excuse. Everyone can make a mistake. But there were no signs she even understood her wrong doings, no intent to make it right. Instead she doubles down on her lies, blocks everyone (even respectful opinions) and tries to go on like nothing happened supported by some people gaslighting others that respectfully criticized her behavior.
All the intents to push this discussion to: if AI is art (of course it can be, it’s a medium to create, just don’t lie about it) or bullying (of course bullying is bad but the wrong doings of others doesn’t justify the primary wrong doing) are a form of gaslighting people that care for values in this space.
This is a case of lying, scamming your way into the head and circle of influential people and it just shows how weak the base is we build here if people support easily-to-spot scams instead of hard working artists out of a personal relationship they built with that person or because they see other people they like share this scam.
There is maybe no bad intention behind but just shows that all these fake “we will remember who was here in the tough times” posts are bullshit. We see what’s the reality. Just get the right connections and you will sell any mediocre imagery. That’s the hard truth.
This case is much more than just a scam, it shows the weaknesses of our space and how “fair” it really is in the end. We have a long way to go. We have to do better.

Famous NFT Artist: "If you work on something for months and it doesn't sell high, it's your fault that you mistakenly thought people value skill and effort."
Other famous NFT Artist: "So yeah I don't actually model anything, I just find amazing 3D models on these 3D marketplaces"

Okay, a lot of friends sent me DMs about this funny Ai situation.
My own takeaway from the responses I am seeing in Tweets are about human behavior.
Shaming someone for deceptive behavior is the correct response. This is not being hateful or “bullying”. Shame is a powerful tool humans have always used to correct poor behaviors. The west has lost this concept which is why narcissists are evolving.
Narcissists number one tactic in an argument they cannot win is deflection and never owning up to their mistakes. They only live inside of their own reality.
I applaud using mockery because it’s poking fun at an idea without mean spirit, while trying to making people laugh.
The “bullying” comments are a joke. I wonder if these arguments come from people who ever experienced real bullying.
My other takeaway is I believe “collector” is too outdated and needs a new term. We need better definitions to call collectors of different reputations.

Before heading to bed, I'd like to speak my mind on a few matters, unafraid of those at the top.
The growing concern over dishonesty and favoritism.
In the NFT world, there's a really troubling situation. An NFT artist falsely claimed her artwork was a traditional painting, when it was actually made using AI. This isn't a one-time thing, but part of a bigger problem here.
What's really concerning is how the big names in the NFT space react. They often support these artists, giving them more visibility and credibility. But when it's revealed that the work was a lie, these influential figures don't publicly address this topic. Instead, Some of them quietly delete their tweets and posts that supported the artist, avoiding any discussion about their initial endorsement.
This behavior is harmful. It's not just about misrepresenting art; it's about a pattern of truth being twisted, and those with influence in the community not owning up to their role in it. They could correct the record, but choose to step back silently, implying it's okay to be dishonest if it's advantageous.
Such lack of responsibility among the NFT elite drives real artists away. Those who value truth in their work feel increasingly alienated. The NFT space, once seen as innovative for artists, is now tarnished by these scandals.
And in this environment, we want more collectors to join the NFT space? What we're actually doing is scaring them away with these behaviors. Potential collectors, seeing this pattern of dishonesty and lack of accountability, might think twice before investing in NFTs. This not only affects the market's growth but also its reputation as a legitimate platform for artists and collectors. We're at a crossroads where the actions and attitudes of today's NFT leaders could shape the future of this space, for better or worse.
Good night.
