It's very funny to have this confirmed. On all of the 4o freak out/mourning posts people would ask (the mostly women) what made 4o so special and they would always answer things like it had deep emotional understanding, or it felt like a real person. and now we know, no it just agreed with you when you were wrong.

On device processing is a white lie, Apple Intelligence features rely completely on an internet connection. Photo cleanup doesn’t run on device, so locking this feature, to newer hardware, is malicious, when any are capable of processing via Cloud Compute, utilizing “limits”
Apple cancelling their car makes complete sense now. They can't even get Siri to relay weather properly

Apple: Siri AI is only capable of running on devices with at least 8GB of RAM so the iPhone 15 isn’t supported
Also Apple: The Apple TV 4K with the A12 chip from 8 years ago and 4GB of RAM will support Siri AI
I get that the Apple TV has to handle less personal context stuff, but they could have extended this to older iPhones too.
