The Nuggets are playing uninspiring basketball.
And they don't understand why you might think that's a problem.
On the growing disconnect between Denver's stars and (some of) their fans:

Who are the Rockies biggest trade chips this offseason? Do we see Beck or Veen on the trading block? Any surprises?

We assumed in the summer that the second half of the schedule would be more difficult than the first half.
That's not looking like it's going to be true for @CSUFootball after all.

My boys did a wonderful job previewing the season. Not a surprise, they are great storytellers.
A special shoutout to @KalleSorbo for this beautiful eye candy of a film job.

Cam Johnson has shot the ball with a ton of confidence this preseason. No hesitation. No second-guessing. He's way more comfortable in the system.

I'm rarely the glass-half-full guy, but there's a lot of potential in the guys the Nuggets have this season. A lot of gelling/speeding up to do, but some really strong players out there.

Cam Johnson asked about new Nugget Ryan Nembhard and shouts out KJ Simpson 🗣️
"I would be remised if I didn't mention the effort KJ put in this offseason."
"Every time I was in the gym, KJ was in the gym. Every time I was in Denver in the weight room, KJ was there."

What we learned on Day 2 of training camp
-Ryan Nembhard signed a 2-way deal and chose Denver over other offers.
-Nuggets waived KJ Simpson to make room for Nembhard.
-Christian Braun has gotten "much better" as a ball handler per Jamal Murray.
-Marvin Bagley has some “special skills” per David Adelman.
-Adelman views Bagley as a backup center, not power forward, but could play power forward “in a pinch.”
-Rookie Trevon Brazile “has a chance” per Adelman and Adelman doesn’t want to crowd the PF position so Brazile is “comfortable” in that spot.
-Bagley says he could play both 4/5 but has mostly played 5 the last couple years.
-Alpha Diallo is a “special” defender per Adelman and “doesn’t get screened.”
-Adelman had to stop practice a lot to dial in on the new transition defense scheme
-Julian Strawther had a play where he executed the scheme perfectly.

According to @SynergySST, the Nuggets ranked 17th in half court defense and dead last in transition defense.
David Adelman sees a connection there and a plan to improve both numbers. We're talking about that on today's show. ⏰ Live at 3pm MT.

When he spoke at Media Day, he slammed it shut.
"I'm going to sign next year."
