It’s a complete BLUE NUKE and I’m almost crying with joy.
🚨 DEMOCRATS FLIP CONGRESS: 7 Senate seats. House seats. 5 governorships.
Here’s the election breakdown around 6 a.m. Eastern—and the numbers show just how far into Republican territory Democrats reached. 🧵⬇️
🔵 SENATE: SEVEN REPUBLICAN SEATS TURN BLUE
Every race below has been called for Democrats. Approximate leads in the reported count:
• NORTH CAROLINA: Roy Cooper defeats Michael Whatley — +19.6 points
• TEXAS: James Talarico defeats Ken Paxton — +12
• MAINE: Troy Jackson defeats Susan Collins — +8
• KANSAS: Adam Hamilton defeats Roger Marshall — +5
• OHIO: Sherrod Brown defeats Jon Husted — +4.9
• SOUTH CAROLINA: Annie Andrews defeats Darline Graham — +4.5
• IOWA: Josh Turek defeats Ashley Hinson — +4.2
Democrats also held Michigan, New Hampshire, Minnesota and Georgia.
And two potential pickups remained unresolved:
👀 Mississippi: Scott Colom narrowly ahead in an essentially tied race.
👀 Alaska: Mary Peltola trailing by roughly 0.8 points, with about 72% counted.
🔵 HOUSE: 25 CALLED DEMOCRATIC GAINS
ABC’s 5:49 a.m. tracker showed these gains. Approximate Democratic margins:
• California: CA-01 +14 | CA-03 +14 | CA-41 +30
• Colorado: CO-08 +14
• Indiana: IN-05 +4
• Iowa: IA-01 +9 | IA-02 +4 | IA-03 +8
• Kentucky: KY-06 +10
• Missouri: MO-02 +5
• Nebraska: NE-02 +15
• New Jersey: NJ-07 +16
• North Carolina: NC-11 +16
• Ohio: OH-07 +10 | OH-15 +7
• Pennsylvania: PA-01 +6 | PA-07 +12 | PA-08 +8 | PA-10 +10
• Texas: TX-15 +24 | TX-23 +8
• Utah: UT-01 +47
• Virginia: VA-02 +8
• Wisconsin: WI-01 +4 | WI-03 +6
That includes FOUR Republican-held Pennsylvania seats and THREE in Iowa.
Additional Democratic leads in uncalled races aren’t included in those 25 gains.
🔵 GOVERNORS: FIVE REPUBLICAN-HELD OFFICES FLIPPED
• IOWA: Rob Sand defeats Zach Lahn — +11 points
• GEORGIA: Keisha Lance Bottoms defeats Rick Jackson — +8.6
• OHIO: Amy Acton defeats Vivek Ramaswamy — +7.9
• NEVADA: Aaron Ford defeats Joe Lombardo — +7.6
• TEXAS: Gina Hinojosa defeats Greg Abbott — +7.1
Democrats also held Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
Republican Byron Donalds won Florida, with a reported lead around 1.3 points. Alaska and Kansas remained unresolved.
🎯 WHAT HAPPENED IN THE TOSS-UPS?
SENATE: Democrats won FIVE of Cook’s SIX toss-ups—every one that had been decided. Alaska remained outstanding.
HOUSE: Of ABC’s 14 toss-ups:
✅ 8 Democratic wins
🔵 5 additional Democratic leads
🔴 1 Republican lead
Democrats had WON or were LEADING in 13 of 14. Leads are not calls—but that’s a remarkable battleground performance.
Texas elected Democrats to the Senate AND the governor’s office. Ohio and Iowa did the same.
Republicans lost both chambers of Congress. Democrats now have the power to put real congressional checks on Trump.
These are projected wins and approximate morning margins, not certified final results. Counts and source update times vary; House margins use rounded percentages, and redistricting affects district comparisons.

Dems look like they might get 56. Rs will never get that back for a long time. You ignore primaries for years, anoint a charlatan as not just leader but God, and then mimic his retardation every day for a decade, at some point the chickens come home to roost.

BREAKING: SWEET REVENGE! The Navy Admiral who Pete Hegseth fired DEFEATS her MAGA opponent to win a House seat in South Carolina — cementing the blue tsunami with a poetic flourish!
This is just too beautiful...
Democrat Nancy Lacore, a 35-year Navy veteran who rose through the ranks from helicopter pilot to become Chief of Navy Reserve, was fired in August of 2025 amid Hegseth's purging of high-ranking women in the military. While no official reason was given, the deeply misogynistic Hegseth has not been coy about his caveman belief that only testosterone-injecting men should serve.
Lacore has now defeated Republican Jenny Costa Honeycutt to seize a seat that was formerly held by MAGA lunatic Nancy Mace who launched a failed bid for the governor's mansion this year.
Lacore has not been shy about criticizing Hegseth's disastrous mismanagement of the Defense Department, particularly his failed Iran War.
"Pete Hegseth is the most unqualified Secretary of Defense that we have ever had, and he is doing significant damage to our military that it will really take decades to undo," she said, adding that he "needs to go."
The most beautiful irony here? Congresswoman Lacore could soon be voting with the rest of the Democratic majority in the House to impeach Pete Hegseth. We have subpoena power starting in January, so we'll be able to uncover all of the gross negligence and rampant criminality that he's overseen.
Ain't karma grand?
Please ❤️ and share if you support impeaching Pete Hegseth!

Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy.
While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

Thank you, Donald, for all of your hard work (i.e., incompetence, corruption, treason, and betrayal of the American people) in ensuring Democrats win in a way that will make your life miserable for the next two years--and make our lives better.

Democrats will now control the House and Senate and be able to hold Trump accountable. That's great.
At a time of massive income and wealth inequality, we must do more. We must aggressively fight for working families.
No more excuses.
