It’s been multiple days now @Dynadot is not working for anything .si. Figured I’d give @spaceship a shot and register there. Paid for an available domain and got an immediate “there was a technical issue” error right after payment. Tough times.

Okay so turns out the domain is actually not available. Regged in 2025 as per the WHOIS. Seems like the point of failure is the availability check on @spaceship right now. Will give it another try without relying on their availability checker. If it still fails, onto Regery I go.

Only been a day since I decided to give Sedo another shot by only adding my .si portfolio there and I’m already reminded multiple times of why I removed my entire portfolio from there over a year ago. 1. They can’t even verify ownership on .si domains claiming whois protection (which .si does NOT have) 2. Their “rights protection program” blocked and removed one of my generic SLDs that has absolutely no association with any third party intellectual property.

- Waiting for payment on this one. - Give your love to .si, spread the news. There's a new major TLD in town ;) - @Hostinger, @CNicReseller and @Dynadot have already sent *dedicated* newsletters about .si. This is the fastest land rush I've ever seen.

Checked all 3L permutations for .si, using only premium letters (abcdefghiklmnoprst; 5832 total combinations). % of available to reg w/o repeated letters: 15.3% % of available to reg w/ repeated letters: 11.1% % of available overall: 14.6% I also got beat to a couple I had shortlisted. There was literally an hour between me verifying availability and deciding. 2 out of the 15 I shortlisted got sniped during that 1-hour period. Do with this information what you will.

Seeing multiple 4-5 fig .si sales on the timeline today. Still too early to make a judgment but my lean is that it will be profitable for at least the premium .si holders in the short term, with potential long term upside depending on adaption. I’m talking real premiums though. Taken in 250+ TLDs minimum.

After a dry Aug, sold Otherwise .SI , my first sale at @spaceship , thanks! and first #dotsi sale. Deal was completed couple of days ago, sharing after receiving the payout. I am still staying calm on .si though🤓. HT: <6mth, HR. @NameBio #domainnames

What’s going on here @spaceship? Buy button was not working either. I updated the price and the lander got fixed. Now I feel like I have to manually check hundreds of domains to see if any of their landers are broken though..

I have always sold at least one domain in March in the past few years. This March has been dry unless a sale happens today or tomorrow. Hear me universe.

Et tu, Brute? Very disappointing move. And they know it which is why it went unannounced.

Hello Mezbaul! The 5% commission is paid both by the seller and by the buyer.

As an update, they announced they’re rolling this change back and upping the seller commission to 10%. Better than charging the buyer I think.
