Congratulations to the American distance runners in Lausanne. It has been a long road for the USA athletes in this event group. You have inspired us especially over the last decade. Thanks for the revival!!

The 2026 NCAA TF championships in Eugene was incredible. Hayward Field was immaculate, the athletes were fantastic, and the spectators “showed up”. The TrackTown community outdid themselves. Our athletes were so inspiring! Bravo
I am very proud to spend time with a UVA Track Legend in Oregon. Olympic Gold Medalist Paul Ereng was inducted into the USTFCCCA Athlete Hall of Fame last night. Go Hoos!
Excited to share this message.

Steve Cooksey’s (former Navy Head TF Coach)passing has left a tremendous void in our coaching profession. Steve represented everything that is positive in collegiate athletics. He and Cantello were a great team for many years. Rest in peace.
Ray Treacy has led Providence College and our sport with distinction. He has been an incredible mentor for scores of student athletes and coaches. He has been and will always be a class act. Godspeed!
Ray Treacy has announced he will retire in June as Director of Cross Country and Track & Field at Providence College after 41 years. The end of an era for one of NCAA distance running’s most respected figures.
🗣️“It is hard to imagine I have lived my dream job for the last 41 years. It has been the honor of my life to represent Providence College on the track and field stage. I would like to thank the administration for their wonderful support of the program during that time. Also, thanks to the more than 600 student-athletes who have gone through the program during my tenure. To see them develop and mature over their four years at PC has been the most rewarding part of the job. It has been an honor to be their coach.”
His resume includes:
– 2x NCAA Cross Country Team Titles (1995, 2013) 🏆 🏆
– 18 BIG EAST Championships in Cross Country
– 73 athletes earned 223 All-America honors
– 11 Olympians and 10 NCAA individual champions
– 33 NCAA team appearances for Women’s XC in 37 years
– 25 NCAA appearances for Men’s XC in 41 years
– Coached post-collegiate athletes, including Molly Huddle and Emily Sisson to 40+ USATF titles
Before his tenure as a coach, Treacy helped PC win the inaugural BIG EAST XC Championship in 1979.
Legend.
What a game last night in CVille. Congrats to the student athletes and coaches of the Virginia football team.
Cole Hocker deserves a standing ovation for his brilliant 5000 meter performance. He is a physical and mental giant. Great to watch the US presence in the men’s and women’s 5k.
Great job!
