When things that are supposed to be nornmal like receiving your pension immediately after retirement are treated as a favour then you know systems are deliberately made not to work.
Teachers will now begin receiving their pension within just 10 days of retirement.
Bwana, where was such a President since Independence?
For 60 years, our parents and teachers retired and waited for years to get what they had worked for.
Did God really have to make Kenyans wait for 60 years to finally enjoy dignity, efficiency and benefits that should have been normal?
Ruto is changing how government works.
The refinery is a great investment but the red flags eish. If Senators are known for extorting why is @EACCKenya not busy getting them behind bars? Too many questions and suspicion especially where taxpayers money and land is involved
Number 11 is very interesting. NIF will buy 10% on behalf of GoK, while the other 20% which is meant for Kenyans will most likely be through an IPO. That's a good move and hoping no MOBITELEA will happen.
Ahead of today’s groundbreaking, here is what we know so far about the proposed Lamu refinery: from its $15–17B estimated cost and 700,000-barrel-a-day capacity to ownership, financing, timelines and key hurdles:

What Aliko Dangote is saying will be a game changer in the whole continent. First deal with your energy issues then industrialization flows properly. The game is to be self sufficient in, food(fertilizer is made from petrol carbons), energy and transport

This quiet, sleepy, bushy area known as Magogoni, in Lamu West Constituency will soon be a hive of activity. This is the site of the Dangote refinery. It is the designated LAPSSET special economic zone area. The 5,000 acre land set for the project is close to Lamu Port. The refinery, officially known as the East Africa Oil Refinery will be built at a cost of Ksh 2.2 trillion. It will produce 700,000 barrels of oil per day. The ground breaking ceremony for the project will take place on 30th Sept 2026 at Lamu Port. In your view what will be the impact of this project? @ChamsMedia @Kenya_Ports @EnergyMinK @AlikoDangote @DangoteGroup @DangoteAfricaa @WilliamsRuto

F4 is raises several questions.
if the premiums have remained unchanged - why did they hike fuel prices when the war in Iran started?
could it be the reason @EPRA_KE is no longer sharing the formula it is using to set oil prices?
The markets are about to become very interesting
This is a new one. Stop trading and magically make USD 1.5 trillion
US President Donald Trump had tried to pressure the Fed to lower rates, but it voted unanimously to raise them instead. In response, Trump is now threatening to end trade with countries the US has a trade deficit with - namely Canada, Mexico and the EU.

Free thinkers have long argued that political abundance breeds laziness.
Now, Botswana ranks first in the South region by a clear margin: Botswana's GDP per capita amounted to about $7,662.
Diamond remains a valuable economic cornerstone globally.
This never makes sense. Land (Free), capital (zero interest), materials should be cheaper because of bulk buying. What other factors make these house more expensive than other commercial providers ?

The saddest reality is that all factors of production in Kenya are governed by not less than 4 institutions whose roles overlap and duplicate themselves leading to delay in services and overall expensive cost of doing business.
Energy - 5
Water 4
Roads 4
Aviation 4
If we just trimmed the number of duplicated parastatals that deal with similar roles, we would end up with meaningful costs.

Cumulative levies across KAA, KCAA, Tourism Fund, Met, plus eTA fees directly inflate final airfares. High operational costs risk eroding Nairobi’s edge as a regional hub relative to lower-cost competitors across the continent.
Imagine a family argument that can be sorted amicably ending up costing you 4 million and delayed personal progression because of fighting for parents estate.

Some good news from the SGR operations.

They still want to make it an ERP for stock management as well instead of fixing the glitches.
iTax is totally unusable.
It has been this way for several weeks now.
Taxpayers and accountants are struggling to get basic things like filing done.
@KRACare , please fix iTax.
If we are struggling to clear homogeneous containers within international accepted time, what about consolidated cargo. It was be pointless to import goods and receive them after 3 months because it was consolidated.
