HELLBLAZERS (2022): BRUCE DERN is fantastic in this horror comedy about a satanic cult that conjures a demon and tries to feed it with the residents of a small town. Other hors d'oeuvres include Adrienne Barbeau, Meg Foster & Tony Todd

IT LIVES INSIDE ( 2023): An Indian - American teenager trying to find her own cultural identity while living with her immigrant, traditional Hindu espousing parents is hard enough but when she unleashes a demon it’s time to start believing and get some help!

DEER CAMP 86’ (2024): Horror / Comedy with a “message”. When 5 guys go hunting & a local Native American woman is murdered a spirit is awakened and seeks revenge. First time I’ve ever seen a tick removed from a guys balls in a movie.

JAMES SPADER: CRASH (1997) SECRETARY (2002) Two challenging characters played by Spader. Far from the snotty rich kid in Pretty in Pink. Spader trounced getting pigeonholed by playing a man sexually aroused by car crashes & a lawyer who has a sadomasochistic with his employee.

CARVED (2024): Horror comedy set in the early 90s. Like the Toxic Avenger, our killer pumpkin is the product of an awful chemical spill. Unlike the Avenger, this pumpkin is seeking revenge on all those that have carved one. Great practical FX.

POSSUM (2018): This is NOT a horror film! It’s a surreal visual experience depicting the horror of trauma. Incredible cinematography, with almost every frame a stand alone work of art. Go along for the ride, this film will haunt you. Masterpiece.

FOLLOWERS (2024): You won’t care that this narcissistic influencer is the target of a wolf pack of incels that plots revenge for her friend killing one of them. The real horror is how exposed we are on social media, especially when you don’t really know who’s watching you.

HAUNT (2019): What could go wrong when 5 friends give up their cell phones, sign a waiver and enter an “extreme” haunted house attraction? Everything you’d expect and more. Well done!

THE DELIVERANCE ( 2024): Predictable haunted house horror with Glenn Close as the sober, sexy cougar grandma who succumbs to possession and goes all Exorcist on her downtrodden daughter. Her daughter does find a way to save her possessed son so she can’t be all that bad! The end

DASHCAM (2021): A narcissistic girl goes to London at the start of the Covid pandemic, steals her friends car & live streams her “Band Car” show where she makes up bad rap songs using words from viewers. She picks up an old lady who is definitely very sick, buts it’s not Covid.

IN FEAR (2013): On the way to a music festival a couple tries to make a pit stop to celebrate their new relationship but end up in an endless loop of dark country roads being stalked by a serial killer. Suspenseful micro budget film. Well acted. Stream on Prime.

TAROT (2024): JACOB BATALON is awesome in this tepid rendition of the “cursed” Tarot card (Ouija Board, House, Doll) etc. genre. He provides enough comic relief to make it tolerable. Stream on Netflix.

PROWL (2010): What’s dumber than going into an “abandoned” house to escape a storm? Taking a ride from a stranger who locks you inside the back of his truck & drops you off at a (spoiler) vampire training camp for hunting. Stream on Prime.

LATE NIGHT WITH THE DEVIL (2023): A late night talk show host with failing ratings has a “possessed“ girl as a guest on his show. Unfortunately for him she really does have the devil in her and things don’t go as planned. Fun, retro, kitschy horror. Stream on Prime.

WITCHES IN THE WOODS (2019): A group of friends get stranded in the snowy woods . As tensions mount one of them may or may not get possessed by a witch and people start dropping like flies. Stream on Prime.
