@Dir_NaveenMu shines in this gem of a short film. His adaptation of writer Kantharvan’s short story flows with remarkable ease and emotional precision. He draws strikingly raw performances from the stellar cast — Manimekalai (Chandra) as Panjavarnam and the late Kalidoss as Kaali — both leaving an indelible impact. The cinematography by Saravanamaruthu Soundarapandi and Meenakshi Soman is profoundly immersive, elevating every frame with quiet intensity. It deeply pains me that we lost an extraordinary talent like Saravanamuthu to such a tragic end. The sound design is equally compelling, adding texture and depth to the film’s emotional landscape. Truly deserving of a National Award. Congratulations to the entire team. A must-watch. youtu.be/nhdfjnbOkKI
