Caught this Southern Pacific rattlesnake in our gutter pipe. Turned him loose in the hills. Crotalid venom is a mixture of over 50 different identified proteins and macromolecules and has fibrinolytic and protein C activation effects causing coagulopathy.

Guy Meyer, a pulmonary embolism giant, has passed on. C'est avec une infinie tristesse que nous souhaitons vous faire part du décès du Professeur Guy MEYER survenu le 9 décembre 2020, il avait 62 ans. What a loss to his friends, family and the PE world.

“Joe Biden suffered hairline fractures in his right foot and will wear an orthopedic boot, Biden's team said Sunday.” In theory, he should be at fairly low risk for VTE. But age + fx / boot is a risk. But... we have all seen these.... Hope he keeps moving!
