i got a dm on insta from a pretty decently known merch company asking if i wanted to make anything of Unnamed Equine and. i don’t like monetising, but even a small amount of extra funds to cover some of his feed and vet bills would be a bit of a reliever…. idk

i love racing in hong kong a lot.. but, the lack of turnout really is an issue. hk does a lot of things right, they lead the way with a lot. unfortunately, turnout is essential for a horse… but it’s a sensitive subject, since the lack of land in hk can’t+

be an easy fix. i’m sure if they could, they would… they don’t live in hong kong forever, obviously. at least not the majority of them. they last see a grassy paddock at around two years old, then won’t see one for a few years.

it’s always very bittersweet seeing videos of hk retirees coming home to new zealand or australia. they have to learn how to ‘horse’ again. they’re so unused to sunlight that i have seen horses returning from hk get these hive-like rashes, their coats take a while to recover

before her debut, the trainer said she had a high opinion of her- and he said she looked more like a huge gelding than a filly, which i believe, because she was about 15.2 as a yearling.

there’s one i’m paying attention to right now. she’s three, only had two starts - 2nd on debut and 3rd in her second start. she was a huge intimidating filly as a yearling, had a big ugly head, but kind. i hope she gets a win soon

can i be real for a sec. you’re never gonna get a 100% accurate personality to the horse when making an uma version of them cause connections lie their asses off for the horses image 😣 between that & horse behaviour being misinterpreted En Masse it’s hard

i think it’s really important to do your due diligence when making an uma oc out of respect for the connections and horse itself, but i find it strange i’m seeing strawpage anons causing chaos rn ? there’s not really a right way. you can’t get a biblically accurate uma oc +
