Speech can survive being flipped backward every twenty milliseconds.
The same speech in backward pieces of 200 then 100 then 50 then 20 milliseconds.
The original comes last.
When do the words become clear?

This outbreak kinda reminds me of “Yellow Rain” back in the late 70s when people in places like Laos, Cambodia and Afghanistan reported finding strange yellow substances suspected to be linked to biological or chemical attacks. Some believed fungal toxins were involved but others also argued it was naturally occurring honeybee droppings. It actually became a legendary Cold War controversy and the exact circumstances were never definitively settled.
Obviously, this is a completely different species of fungus, but it’s interesting how the origins of both still seem to be unanswered questions.
Anyways, you should read this book. A lot of brain infecting fungal species can cause similar symptoms to meningitis, which makes these kinds of infections a little bit interesting to learn about.
Mold based weapons are definitely real (not sure if this is the scenario AT ALL though, I’m not making that claim) but you should use it as an excuse to educate yourself because it’s fascinating and a lot of people don’t know about it.
