I slept with my girlfriend’s older sister after she came to my apartment one Friday night and confessed that she had been attracted to me since the day we met.
I knew it was wrong. I knew my girlfriend trusted me, and I knew her sister was someone I should never have crossed that line with.
But that night, everything changed.
My girlfriend had travelled to visit her parents, and her older sister called me, saying she needed help fixing something on her laptop.
When she arrived, we sat together on the sofa, talking and laughing. At some point, she started asking questions about my relationship.
“Are you really happy with my sister?” she asked.
I told her I was.
She looked at me for a moment before saying, “Then why do you look at me the way you do?”
I was speechless.
She admitted she had noticed the tension between us for months. I should have ended the conversation there, but I didn’t.

Charges against actor Timothy Busfield, known for The West Wing and Field of Dreams, have been dismissed by a New Mexico judge over prosecutorial misconduct and errors in the grand jury process.
Busfield has denied the allegations. His lawyer says he is relieved by the decision, but prosecutors have yet to decide whether to seek a new indictment.
The case stems from allegations involving two child actors on the set of The Cleaning Lady.

Selma Blair’s representatives say she never intended to hurt anyone during a flight that led to her arrest.
The actor reportedly experienced a medical emergency aboard a Delta flight from Los Angeles to New York. Her representatives deny claims that she tried to open the aircraft door and say the incident should be understood in the context of her health.

夫が妹と一年近く関係を続けていたことを知ったのは、妹がホテルの予約画面を間違えて私に送ってきたときだった。
いちばん最悪だったのは、妹が謝りもしなかったことだ。
彼女は「送る相手間違えた😂」とメッセージを送り、すぐに削除し、三時間も私をブロックした。再び連絡できるようになった頃には、私はすべてのスクリーンショットを保存していた。
夫のタツヤは、ソファに座ってサッカーを見ながら、私が仕事帰りに買ってきたフライドチキンを食べていた。
私が帰宅したとき、彼は額にキスをしてくれた。仕事はどうだったかと尋ね、上司への不満を話し、スマホの動画を見て笑い、シャワーを浴びに行く前には「愛してる」と言った。
私はもう一度、スクリーンショットを見た。
そこには二人分のホテルの予約と、妹のエミからのメッセージが表示されていた。
「前と同じ部屋ね。もう会いたい」
予約日は三日前だった。
三日前、タツヤは仕事のセミナーに参加すると言って家を出た。アイロンのかかったシャツを着て、私にキスをし、私の好きなお菓子を買って帰ると約束した。

My girlfriend Olivia and I were having dinner at my apartment when she suddenly received an invitation to her ex boyfriend's wedding.
Olivia: Guess who just invited me to his wedding?

Olivia: Kevin. My ex.
I laughed a little.
Me: He invited you to his wedding after you two broke up?
Olivia: According to him, they want a small wedding with people who have been part of their lives.
I thought it was strange, but I didn't make a big deal out of it. Olivia had told me about Kevin before. They had dated for almost four years and broken up because they wanted different things. She wanted marriage and a family someday, while he kept saying he wasn't ready.
About a year after their breakup, Kevin started dating someone else.
A few days later, Olivia brought up the wedding again.
Olivia: Would you come with me?
Me: Why? Are you worried about seeing him?
Olivia: Not really. I just don't want to go alone, and I'd like you to meet some of my old friends.
I agreed.
Over the following weeks, she occasionally asked whether I thought certain outfits looked good on her. She also asked if I'd be comfortable dancing with her in front of Kevin.
I assumed she was nervous about seeing someone she had once loved. I didn't think much of it.
The wedding was held at a country club outside the city. Olivia looked beautiful, and we arrived just before the ceremony started.
Kevin greeted us at the entrance.
Kevin: Olivia! It's good to see you.
Olivia: Congratulations. You look happy.
He shook my hand and introduced us to his fiancée, who was friendly and welcoming.
Everything seemed normal until we sat down for dinner.
A woman at our table recognized Olivia and started asking about her past relationship with Kevin.
Woman: I always thought you and Kevin would end up married. You two were together for so long.
Olivia forced a smile.
Olivia: Well, life doesn't always go the way you expect.
The woman turned to me.
Woman: And you must be the new boyfriend. How long have you two been together?
Before I could answer, Olivia spoke up.
Olivia: Eight months.
The woman smiled and returned to her meal.
I thought the conversation was over, but Olivia suddenly reached under the table and squeezed my hand.
I looked at her, wondering what had changed. She had seemed perfectly fine until that conversation.
