This is my son’s rapid decline with #WhoopingCough (too young to be vaccinated). Day 1 in hospital he was OK, just tired & not breastfeeding enough. By day 5, he was gone 💔 There is no cure for whooping cough, only prevention (including pregnancy vaccination!) 🌀see thread🌀

To be fully effective, a vaccine needs herd immunity — where enough people are vaccinated, that they can protect those who aren't. Achieving herd immunity for measles means a 95% rate of vaccination.
