Struggle is good. You grow from it.
Suffering is bad. You are harmed by it.
I feel like a lot of people mistake the two.
Midi/DMX/etc are just good standards.
So nice to have stuff from 1995 controllable over network along side stuff from 2025.
These are the nice things we can have.
NGL, used to think about buying land and building a cabin to relax/get away from tech.
Now I want it to get away from the ignorant ass people everywhere.
What the actual fuck happened to peoples brains.
I think changing stem to steam is a mistake.
Instead... I propose meats.
Also, I'm not smart enough to make this joke, thank my girlfriend.

The amount of people I see saying "I don't want politics in my ..." is hilarious...
The most common purpose of art, stories and music is politics.
And if you think something (typically old) is non-political, then you probably don't understand the context in which it was made.
Breaking a big task into a checklist is just "making a mini-series", no-one will watch a 10 hour movie, but you'll binge a mini-series.
I think the funniest thing about LLMs are they are deterministic.
The only reason they generate random output is by perturbing the network/layers/output to give "less correct answers" + some random seed input (hence perturbing the input token stream).
That moment of existential dread where you realize you've bought all the toys/hobby equipment you ever wanted and now you actually have to use it.
Funniest comment in game dev discord I've seen in a minute:
"Gotta put the MMO on the backlog and start inventing immortality first then rip"

Been practicing hiragana and it slowly transforming from symbols on a page to automatic sounds in my brain is the weirdest feeling.
How I know therapy helps:
When your ADHD makes you miss two therapy sessions in a row and now I'm too anxious to email my therapist to schedule another one.
But now I know I'm anxious and not just lazy.
👍
Saying someone who is trying to do software should learn git is a lot like saying someone playing music should learn to read sheet music.
Is it 100% necessary?
No.
Does it help to share thoughts, express ideas, keep them in a place that can be changed/etc, yes.
NGL between @KenneyNL and @quaternius I feel like basically any game concept can get tossed together
