The day has come, @LayerZero_Labs is now integrated on NEAR, via our EVM layer @auroraisnear!
Thanks to LayerZero's trustless omnichain messaging protocol, NEAR will now be opened up to more than 40 networks!
LayerZero is an omnichain interoperability protocol designed for lightweight and trustless cross-chain messaging. Thanks to LayerZero, NEAR will now be able to interact with various chains without the need for intermediaries, bringing enhanced interconnectivity to our ecosystem.
With LayerZero having deployed its endpoint on NEAR, this means..
-Projects and devs on NEAR and Aurora will now be able to leverage LayerZero's network of 40+ supported blockchains
-LayerZero projects like @StargateFinance or @RDNTCapital can easily expand to NEAR.
-Soon, users on NEAR will be able to enjoy seamless cross-chain transactions with native assets (no bridging!) via dApps like Ref, Orderly, Burrow and more

Ethereum rollups are about to move into hyperdrive with the fast finality layer from NEAR and @eigencloud ⚡
Get ready for cross-rollup transactions that are not just faster, but 4000x cheaper! 🌐
What's a fast finality layer?
A first-of-its-kind solution that processes transactions for Ethereum rollups in just 3-4 seconds, compared to hours or even days on Ethereum.
Plus, it enables secure, low-latency cross-rollup communication, solving major challenges for L2 builders.
This collaboration between NEAR and @eigencloud will reduce liquidity fragmentation between Layer-2s, allowing them to make independent decisions about their sequencers, all while retaining @Ethereum's security guarantees.
@ilblackdragon, co-founder of NEAR Protocol, shares: "The fast finality layer showcases NEAR’s tech strengths while making the open web more usable. It will also defragment liquidity for Ethereum rollups, making Web3 more interoperable."
@sreeramkannan, founder of @eigencloud, adds: "This partnership leverages both NEAR and EigenLayer’s technologies to make it easier, faster, and cheaper for developers to build on Ethereum."
A testnet is expected to launch in Q1 2024.

Zero-knowledge, meet Web Assembly.
The NEAR Foundation and @0xPolygonLabs are set to deliver the future of zero-knowledge for WASM based blockchains with zkWASM.
Empowering greater security, scalability, developer flexibility, and interoperability in the open web🌐
zkWASM will be a market-leading ZK prover for WASM blockchains, enhancing security and interoperability across Web3. 🔐
zkWASM will be one of three provers available for developers using Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK), an open-source codebase for launching ZK-powered L2 chains for @Ethereum. 🛠️
With the NEAR Foundation becoming a core contributor to Polygon CDK, this collaboration marks a significant step towards trustless interoperability and closer alignment between NEAR and the Ethereum ecosystem. 🤝
"The zkWASM prover maximizes developer customizability, allowing projects to select from a number of provers when building with CDK," @sandeepnailwal, co-founder of @0xPolygon. 🧠
For NEAR validators, a zkWASM prover means a simpler validation process and the ability to generate a single zero-knowledge proof. This translates to better scalability and increased decentralization for NEAR Protocol. ⚖️
"NEAR is integrating more with Ethereum by innovating in new research frontiers, and the shared expertise of NEAR and Polygon will expand the ZK landscape and defragment liquidity across chains," @ilblackdragon, co-founder of NEAR Protocol. 💡
The zkWASM prover is currently under active development and is expected to launch next year.
This is a giant leap towards a more secure, interoperable, and scalable Web3 ecosystem.
Stay tuned for more updates!
The open web is a web for everyone, by everyone.
Expanding the L2 market by introducing Wasm chains to Ethereum.
Polygon Labs and NEAR Foundation are teaming up to develop a zero-knowledge (ZK) prover for Wasm blockchains in order to bridge the gap between Wasm-based chains and the Ethereum ecosystem. When complete, a zkWasm prover will add additional customizability for developers building with Polygon CDK (Chain Development Kit).
So what does this mean?
NEAR Foundation will become a core contributor to Polygon CDK (Chain Development Kit), expanding developer options for building custom blockchains. This means projects will be able to select from a number of provers when building with Polygon CDK, whether that’s launching or migrating an EVM chain, or building a Wasm chain for closer Ethereum alignment and access to liquidity.
The zkWasm prover will be a new runtime to generate zero-knowledge proofs that prove the native Wasm runtime execution is correct, which will result in better scalability and increased decentralization.
This innovation can bring @NEARProtocol closer to Ethereum, enabling Wasm chains to tap Ethereum liquidity.
