Let's call a spade a spade. The execution of a young Bangladeshi couple in Saudi Arabia is a travesty of justice and lays bare the grotesque cancer that lies at the heart of that benighted country. What a tragedy it is for the Muslim world that our Holy places have fallen into the hands of such a backward and barbarous tribe and that they can and do use their vast wealth to spread misery and malice the length and breadth of this planet. What a bitter irony that the most unjust, hypocritical, uncivilized, and malignant country on Earth is the one that has the most influence over the rest of the Muslim world. What Bangladesh Must Do About the Travesty of Justice in Saudi counterpointbd.com/What-Bang…

The draconian imprisonment of Aleema Khan, Dr Uzma Khan, and Noreen Niazi, Imran Khan’s three sisters, is an appalling abuse of state power. Imprisoning women for standing by their brother is an act of political vindictiveness, not justice.

I became anti-PTI when generals were undermining PMLN but I never became anti-PMLN when generals undermined PTI I was against TTP appeasement by IK (BS) but I am so kay with PDM “ACTUALLY” resettling TTP in Pakistan. Bhai seedha bol do “Jee han, mein hun patwari”.
I became anti-PTI in 2014 when most of our gernails were actively supporting PTI to undermine N league. I was against Taliban appeasement policy of IK and Bajwa-Faiz and particularly the decision to resettle and "rehab" TTP into FATA. Terrorists can't be "rehabbed."

Were you alive in 2022 when Murad Saeed was literally running a movement against TTP's resettlement, meanwhile YOUR govt dismissed the resettlement allegations as a lie and started a witch hunt for Murad which forced him to go into hiding? Or ab sab honay ke baad qasoor PTI ka?
Replying to @iamAkifKhan
Give me one answer bro. Why was PTI not vocal about TTP? Why were they so non serious about it? Why werent they attending funerals of martyrs? Why would they refuse to condemn Ttp? Yes democracy is good but at the expense of supporting terrorists??

10,000 PTI supporters were arrested from ONLY in Punjab after 9th May. The struggle for democracy is and should be a national struggle. Democracy is also a prerequisite for any meaningful progress. Such braindead takes are useless and don't help anyone.
PTI supporters in Punjab & Sindh will wake up tomorrow, focusing on their businesses, expanding it further, education, getting a scholarship. While youth in Pakhtunkhwa has been (mis)led to believe their part is to always be fighting in streets, revolution is just around corner…

Governor’s Rule and state violence in Pakhtunkhwa are deliberate attempts of disenfranchisement of Pashtuns. It is a bloody trap designed to bait peaceful political workers into the very fire these monsters themselves ignited. I pray the people defeat these dirty schemes, weather the crackdown and arrests, and emerge as the masters of their own homeland, InshaAllah.

"log kyun nahi nikaltay?" Iss liye. Fuck everyone who turns a blind eye to this barbaric fascism and gaslights those standing against this regime. Twitter pe beth ke tanay marna buhat asaan hai.
🚨Welcome to Governor’s Rule. Emergency. Coup! This was always our greatest fear: how the regime would treat their own people in KP. Today, it was Bara Bazaar, Khyber. Tomorrow, it could be anywhere in KP. Whether PTI governs the province or not, the regime must urgently rethink their strategy and decisions. How does any of this serve Pakistan’s interests? Are we deliberately pushing KP towards an even deeper crisis, potentially worse than the one already unfolding in Balochistan?

I don’t have words to say at this point except that PMLN pe jitni lanatein bheji jaein kum hai. From Azad Kashmir to KPK and elsewhere, No other party has damaged the Federation as much as PMLN has within the last 4 years.

Decades of military intervention and the making and breaking of govts hav corrupted the state and eroded trust between it & its citizens. Those meant to serve the public are instead incentived to serve an entity whose institutional interests often clash with those of the country.

Today, the NCCIA served me a notice under Section 160 of the CrPC, ordering me to appear at its Karachi office on 16 October and to bring "all relevant digital devices." The allegation against me, in full: "posting/sharing of Anti-State content on social media platforms." That is all I have been told. The notice does not identify a single post. It does not name a complainant. It discloses no evidence. Yet it directs me to produce evidence "in support of my defense" against unspecified accusations. The superior courts have repeatedly cautioned the NCCIA against exactly this. Anyone summoned over an allegation is entitled to the details of the complaint and the actual incriminating evidence against them, so they know what they are accused of. Vague notices summoning citizens cannot be issued. This notice violates that settled principle, and I object to it. I am a journalist. I report on human rights in Pakistan, which very often means reporting on the abuse of state power. "Anti-state" is not an offence this notice even attempts to define, and journalism is not a cyber crime. A summons that names no offence but demands a reporter's devices is not an inquiry. It is a warning, to me and to every journalist watching.

To those who believe stability can be achieved by ousting an elected provincial government, concentrating power and discarding democratic freedoms, Pakistan’s history stands testimony to how disastrous that path has been for the country and the people.

The army has always tried to convince its supporters that Pakistan's problems are an issue of competence and merit that can be solved by technocrats rather than a problem of accountability that requires a redistribution of power to the people.
The way he is announcing this imposed council sounds like a CEO of a company is announcing his private team. 40 million people of a province are being told who will govern them through a press conference in Islamabad. #Sharamnak

Damn straight we should call her a craven sellout with no principles other than access to an EU visa, since she is busy today both-siding an unconstitutional power grab on the behest of a dictator.
The concerted campaign in an attempt to malign @MunizaeJahangir is laughable - publishing very clearly AI-generated images to spread disinformation against her because they have nothing to actually silence her commitment to speaking truth to power. More power to you Munizae.
