Worthy Read: How to accelerate growth by focusing on the features you already have by Ken Rudin
Many product teams believe they need more features in order to drive growth. But, writes Ken Rudin, “You can drive significantly more growth by focusing on getting users to engage more with your existing key features and user flows.” In this article from Lenny’s Newsletter, Ken outlines his ARIA framework for increasing engagement with existing features. Note that you need to be a subscriber to read the full article, but there’s still a lot of value in the portion that’s available to everyone.
Check it out here: buff.ly/3Wc55Jw
❓ How do you balance building new features versus optimizing existing ones in your product work? Do you have any examples where focusing on existing features drove significant growth?

Trump announced that Elon Musk will lead a new department to cut government spending.
Looking at government subsidies for Musk's companies, we can be pretty sure where he will *not* be cutting.
The conflict of interest is mind-boggling.

The internet is no longer forever. You need to become your own archivist for whatever you are passionate about, because at some point this decade there is going to be a major purge and I strongly suspect >80% of global digital content will simply disappear.
Internet Archive has not been archiving since 10/8.
Google Cache has stopped caching.
The Alexa service - the one that used to rank web traffic (not the Amazon virtual assistant) is gone.
The ability of censors to memory-hole the internet is growing.

I've criticized Telegram before for not being serious with encryption.
But (given the info available so far: the charge seems to be just being "unmoderated" and not giving up people's data), this looks very bad and worrying for the future of software and comms freedom in Europe.

This. A thousand times.
Basic energy literacy.
The primary energy fallacy is the idea that all primary energy from fossil fuels must be replaced with an equivalent amount of clean energy.
BUT: This is not necessary because conversion losses do not need to be replaced. More than 2/3 of all primary energy is lost as waste heat.
I first heard @MLiebreich use this term which captures this phenomenon nicely I think.
