Beta deployments. 2027.
We are exploring how Vanars can work alongside humans, learn from the real world, and use the observations to shape the next generation.
We are inviting select industrial partners to be part of this journey.

The Vanar Robots (@vanar_robots) story is unreal.
The founder has been boostrapping, using monthly infusions of Rs. 5-10k from his mom. No office rent because he is building in his parents' living room. He often uses locally-sourced materials (e.g. fishing lines for tendons) to cut costs and strengthen his supply chain.
In spite of these constraints, Aryan Wagh (@ironwagh) is forging ahead. Vanar Generation 1 can:
- Handle payloads of about 15 kg
- Run for about 5 hours on a single charge
- Operate with 38 DoF
Rooting for Vanar!
Vanar Robots (@vanar_robots) is India's scrappiest humanoid startup. They are:
- 100% bootstrapped
- Developing in-house software
- Building in @ironwagh's parents' living room
- Using local materials, e.g. fishing line tendons sourced from Mumbai's Koli community
And yet, in spite of the many limitations they're up against, Vanar's vision is enormous. They want to:
- Build robots that can navigate any environment
- Equip Vanars with the ability to self-repair
- Deploy their first industrial beta in 2027
