UPDATE: Things just got even more interesting. @shoptemu, you really need to look into your delivery company, @Officialspeedaf. My package arrived in Nigeria on September 5. Speedaf received it, and an agent scanned it for delivery on September 8. Since then? Nothing. I complained to Temu last week and was told @Officialspeedaf claimed my number was unreachable. That was a lie. My phone has been on, and I have been calling the numbers they gave me since Tuesday. Those numbers were switched off. This morning, that same number I had been trying to reach messaged me on WhatsApp asking if I had received my package or if any rider had contacted me. I said no. He called me on WhatsApp, but the network was bad and I couldn’t hear him properly. Then he called my regular line. THE SAME NUMBER THEY SAID WAS UNREACHABLE. Then he told me they were trying to contact me to say my package had been “lost in transit” and that they would refund me. Lost in transit where? This package arrived in Nigeria on September 5. It reached your facility in Ijegun. It was scanned for delivery on September 8. And now, after days of silence, it is suddenly “lost in transit”? I asked why Speedaf wanted to refund me directly instead of Temu processing the refund through the app. He said if @shoptemu refunded me, it might take time, but @Officialspeedaf wanted to refund me from their own pocket. Then I asked the most important question: “If you refund me, will you mark the package as delivered on Temu?” He said yes. Apparently, they want to refund me to avoid issues with Temu and get away with the inconveniences they have caused me. I refused the refund. I told him I would escalate this directly to Temu because I am not comfortable with an arrangement where I receive a refund from the delivery company and the order is then marked as delivered on the platform. @shoptemu, please investigate this properly. If my package is genuinely lost, I want my refund processed through the app, through the proper process, with the order status reflecting what actually happened. Something about this entire situation doesn’t add up.
