It is positioned on Kannada land
74% of Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru is owned by foreign holdings Fairfax/Anchorage/Siemens). Only 13% (ownership is with the state of Karnataka (and 13% AAI). To appoint their nominees as SLT the KA state will have to buy in majority control of the board.

No wonder law and order problems have spiked in Karnataka due to unchecked migration from other states.
Can you believe this? He is Paramjith Dhankar He was the APAC business head for Tech Mahindra. He had come home to Faridabad for Diwali, had an argument with his neighbour over parking, and his neighbour shot him dead in broad daylight in Faridabad. We saw a similar incident in Lucknow last week when three people were shot dead over a parking dispute. I always remember what Tigmanshu Dhulia said “Media ne politics ne gusse se bhara samaaj bana diya hai.” Forget India as a nation for a moment, India as a society is cooked.

One of my Kannadiga friend who provides transportation services to KIA company in AP faced huge backlash in AP when he won the contract. He was telling that in every step he was asked by locals why his team has come from Karnataka to AP that he should go back to Karnataka
These are the same guys that preach Merit, Nationalism, Free market gyan to Kannadigas

The BJP is ruling the country, yet its top leadership is on the streets shouting “Save Democracy”. Perhaps this is a world first: a ruling party taking to the streets to save democracy from itself!

1. The "Raw Materials" Myth: Karnataka is Itself a Mineral & Energy Powerhouse Rich Native Mineral Wealth: The claim that Karnataka relies blindly on other states for raw materials ignores geology. Karnataka holds some of India’s largest reserves of iron ore (Ballari-Hospet belt), manganese, chromite, bauxite, limestone, and gold (Hutti Gold Mines). Its industrial hubs were built on its own native resources, long before 1947. Nothing is Free: Where raw materials (like coal) are sourced from outside, they are bought at full market prices, with supplying states earning heavy mining royalties and central levies. It is a commercial purchase, not a federal gift Renewable Leader: Karnataka generates over 50% of its power from clean, local renewable sources (solar, wind, and hydro), leading the nation in green energy self-reliance. 2. The "Labor Supply" Fallacy: Labor is Paid Market Wages Wages & Remittances: Migrant workers do not work as a favor. They earn market wages and send billions in remittances back to their home states, boosting consumption and GDP in those feeder states. Abundant Local Talent: Karnataka has a massive workforce across its 31 districts. Out-of-state labor is utilized because contractors seek cheaper wage dynamics, not because Karnataka lacks human capital. 3. The "Tax Recorded at HQ" Misunderstanding (GST & Exports) GST Accrues to Consuming States: Under India's destination-based GST system, tax on products sold in UP or Bihar goes directly to UP and Bihar not Karnataka. Consequently, decades of industrial policies, land incentives, and infrastructure investments made by the Karnataka government no longer guarantee a direct tax yield on inter-state sales. Global Tech Exports: Bengaluru’s massive direct tax revenue comes primarily from global IT service exports to the US and Europe, completely independent of domestic supply chains 4. The Integration Deficit: Entitlement Over Gratitude Zero Reciprocity: While Karnataka’s economy absorbs people from across India, many reside here for decades, raise families, and use local municipal infrastructure without making the slightest effort to integrate, learn basic Kannada, or respect local culture. Arrogance Over Assimilation: Claiming "we built Bengaluru" while demanding locals adapt to Hindi turns hospitality into a point of conflict. Industry in Karnataka Before Independence 1. Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel Works (Bhadravathi) 2. Hindustan Aircraft Limited (HAL, Bengaluru) 3. Government Sandalwood Oil Factory (Mysore & Shimoga) 4. Mysore Sugar Mills / MySugar (Mandya) 5. Mysore Paper Mills (Bhadravathi) 6. Mysore Paints and Varnishes Limited (Mysore) 7. Mysore Chemicals and Fertilisers (Belagola) 8. Government Silk Weaving Factory & Filatures (Mysore & Channapatna) 9. Mysore Implements Factory (Hassan) 10. Mysore Lamps & Mysore Porcelain Factories (Bengaluru) 11. Mysore Chrome and Tanning Factory (Bengaluru) Healthcare Institutions & Medical Landmarks before Independence (pre-1947) 1. Victoria Hospital 2. Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospitals 3. Krishnarajendra (K.R.) Hospital 4. Cheluvamba Hospital 5. Minto Ophthalmic Hospital 6. All India Institute of Mental Health (later became NIMHANS) 7. Vani Vilas Hospital 8. Epidemic Diseases Hospital & Vaccine Institutes (Belagavi & Bengaluru) Medical Education (Pre-1947) 1. Mysore Medical College 2. Mysore Medical School Higher Education & Research Institutes (pre-1947) 1. Indian Institute of Science (IISc, Bengaluru, 1909) 2. University of Mysore (1916) 3. Central College (Bengaluru, 1858) 4. Maharani’s Science & Arts College (Mysore, 1881 / 1917) 5. St. Joseph’s College (Bengaluru, 1882) 6. Indian Academy of Sciences (Bengaluru, 1934) 7. Forest Research Institute & Coffee Research Station (Balehonnur, 1925) When people claim that modern Karnataka or Bengaluru's institutional backbone was built purely in recent decades, history says otherwise.

Kannada groups entering companies and asking HR departments to hire more Kannadigas cannot be dismissed as parochialism or goondaism. This is a decades-old demand. In 1986, Sarojini Mahishi Committee recommended job reservations and preference for Kannadigas in government establishments, PSUs and private companies.

A Daughter of Keralam Shines at Los Angeles City Hall Heartiest congratulations to dear Nithya Raman on her historic victory in the Los Angeles mayoral election. She is set to become the city’s 44th mayor and the first Asian-American to hold the office. Born in Keralam, Nithya has made her mark in urban planning and public service far from home, and has now written her name into history. Her journey is a tremendous inspiration to the global Malayali community. May she serve the city and its people with distinction in her new role. Sending the love of Keralam and wishing her every success. @nithyavraman #VDSatheesan
