⚠️ Recruitment fraud warning
We've seen reports of scammers posing as recruiters for @Kusama, @Polkadot and the Web3 Foundation, asking applicants to pay for tests or assessments. In other cases, people are asked to download GitHub repos containing malicious code.
These are hoaxes.
Web3 Foundation does not charge people to apply for jobs. Polkadot and Kusama are decentralised networks, not employers.
Stay vigilant. Never pay to apply for a job, and be cautious before clicking on unsolicited links.

Today, a @Google Cloud outage disrupted banking services across the UK, including @Revolut and @LloydsBank.
Turns out putting so much critical infrastructure in so few companies' hands has its drawbacks.

The first milestone of Robonomics 5.0 is done: Governance & Finish-off.
The network is now run by XRT holders through referenda. Sudo is gone, and emergency controls and protocol settings moved to governance too.
The runtime lives in its own repository, with CI and the 5.0 spec written down next to the code.
Device trees in the Robonomics cloud got simpler, and data is now charged by its actual size.
Next up: subscriptions, a new way to pay for the cloud. The first big PR is already in review.

Levity brings decentralised hosting and storage code to the @Polkadot ecosystem.
Authorise. Store. Retrieve via IPFS. Data is retained by default for ~14 days, renewable before expiry. Content is addressed by hash, not by server location.
Experimental, open-source, and published for developers to explore.

Jollity starts from people. Once a week, you play a quick game on camera with a handful of strangers. They confirm you're a real person and nobody learns who you are.
One piece of a larger direction. Trinity. Playground. Product SDK. Each solves a different problem.
Together they describe the same thing: a decentralised web that works for people rather than asking people to work for it.
