The news has finally broke that @Shopify has acquired the Shop.com domain name! I learned about this deal several months ago at a very interesting cocktail party.
While I was not involved in the transaction, and because nobody directly involved is my source, I am going to tell you something that is not being reported:
The price was $100 Million!!! JUST the domain name.
That is the state of the market ladies and gentlemen.

What I like the most in AI age (tnx Claude) is the speed (couple of hours) with which I can build a tool for myself. There is no better usage than reclaim your time, and for developer time tracking is that.
Vura - very opinionated Linux daemon which tracks time / activity - read external sources. Stores all the data locally.
AI is not used for tracking. Descriptions are the only place a language model is allowed, if you ask it.
It takes an hour to setup it. It is not plug and play 😂

We should act super fast & together.
Our best chance is all hands on board to accelerate @MistralAI, the only European company that has models on nearly the same level than the US and Chinese leaders.
All European national sovereign funds should immediately put 1B EUR each into Mistral and make sure the company always stays European (not just French).
