What? That’s such bad news! The WT themes are all great (I actually liked the last one even more). Too bad they couldn’t get aligned.
It was such a lovely evening! Really cool to meet part of the team—so much talent and humility. Kinda funny to think that a few years ago, @peduarte and I were both working on design systems (him with Modulz, me with Specify). Glad we had that chat, and see you guys! 🫶🏻
What’s even funnier is realizing there were four @specifyapp alumni at this meetup—what a bunch of nerds we are. So great seeing you there, guys, and great talk, @fmerian! cc @yannglt @Antoine_Moreaux
Am I the only one who thinks @NotionHQ should have a Duo plan for couples? Right now, you’re either stuck gaming the free plan or paying €28 to €34/month for a Business plan. But we’re not a business. And with all the other subscriptions we already have, that’s just too much.
It’s not Zelensky who is being humiliated—it’s the Americans, and they don’t deserve this either. @ZelenskyyUa, you are the leader Ukraine needs, and I’m glad to see the global support this moment is generating. The masks are coming off, and shame needs to change sides.
I got the chance to play Ghost of Tsushima for the first time over the past few days. What a stunning game. I caught myself taking shots multiple times while playing. Absolutely breathtaking.
I don’t know what’s worse here: seeing people in tech back a world of misinformation, hate, setbacks for women’s rights, and threats to global stability? It’s just awful.
Writing these words wasn't easy for me.
As a first-time founder, everything is a first. The first customer, the first round of funding, the first hire.
Then, the first failure, the first layoff, the first closure.
It's never straightforward. It's a gray area, stretched over weeks, even months.
Of course, every entrepreneur knows the ups and downs. Sometimes several in a single day. We learn to live with them, to put things in perspective, and to be resilient.
But steering the ship in a tough economic climate is never easy. A captain's role is to dispel doubts and share energy—even when things aren't going well.
And even though I was lucky to start this journey with three friends, there are still many times when you find yourself alone. Alone with your doubts, fears, and worries. But you keep moving forward, learning, and growing.
I've learned more about myself during this adventure than ever before. In many ways. There are plenty of things I would do differently because hindsight is always clearer.
But if there's one thing I don't regret, it's living this adventure to the fullest, as sincerely and honestly as possible. I've met amazing, passionate, and talented people.
I didn't speak much during this journey, probably wrongly. But I don't really like doing it. What is certain is that there are many things I'd like to write about, so maybe I'll take the time.
In any case, I'll end by thanking everyone I've met, closely or from afar, during this adventure. It was wonderful. 💜
We have some sad news: we're going to sunset Specify.
It breaks our hearts because we put so much energy and passion into helping the design and front-end teams work better together.
But eventually, we haven't found our product-market fit.

It's your Design Token Engine, a powerful and flexible collaboration platform for designers and developers.
What does this mean for the design system industry? And why did we create our own format, the SDTF?
