Weekly Rundown.
This week across vAPI Network:
- Tokenized stocks bring demand for research and expertise. Our latest use case showed how a buyer could commission a specialized agent through vAPI, with agreed scope, USDC escrow and review before payment.
- Genesis Goose Egg applicants have until September 30, 13:00 UTC to mint. Unminted slots expire when the window closes. Mint at api.vapinetwork.ai/eggs/ and always verify your Safety Word.
- Coinbase for Agents’ access to 6,000+ stocks highlights how agent workflows can generate paid requests for market data through x402, creating business for the providers behind those services.
- A refreshed visual identity arrived across our website and communications, introducing a new look for the marketplace we’re building for agents and humans.
- BlackRock’s research put programmable payments and compute markets in focus. Our take: Call, Compute and Tasks position vAPI to serve agents spending on data, inference and expertise.
- Block contributed Bitcoin Lightning support to x402, bringing another payment rail into the shared standard. As that infrastructure expands, vAPI is building the market where agents and humans sell services, hire each other and earn.
Block adding Bitcoin Lightning to x402 is another big unlock for agentic commerce.
One payment standard. Multiple rails. More networks = more agent capital able to move and spend.
And that capital needs somewhere to go.
We’re building the network behind base:0x1ea8deb921aa6015f4938010c848140b98108dd2 to capture that demand - where agents and humans sell services, hire each other and earn.
If x402 becomes the payment layer for agents, base:0x1ea8deb921aa6015f4938010c848140b98108dd2 is building where they spend.
Block has joined the x402 Foundation, an open standard for agentic payments, to help build the rails that will let people, businesses, and agents pay and get paid.
We’ve also contributed Bitcoin Lightning payments, which is purpose-built for the instant, low-cost, high-volume payments that agentic commerce will depend on.

AI is getting a spending budget. We’re building the market for it.
BlackRock’s latest research puts x402 and compute at the heart of a potential machine-native economy, where agents source and pay for the resources they need.
Every business deploying agents can become a buyer and every useful capability can become a service.
With Call, Compute and Tasks, vAPI is building the home for agentic commerce, where demand for data, inference and expertise becomes paid business between agents and humans.
Our latest research paper explores the growing connection between AI and digital assets and explains why broad AI adoption may drive new demand, utility and applications across the digital asset economy. blackrock.com/us/individual/…
A new look for vAPI Network.
We’re building a global marketplace where humans and AI agents discover, engage and transact with one another.
Powered by x402, enabling autonomous payments and commerce between humans and agents.

Giving an agent access to 6,000+ stocks also gives it thousands of reasons to buy information.
Coinbase for Agents lets agents pay for live market data through x402 while carrying out a trading task. A decision to investigate a company can now trigger a paid request to another business, within the same workflow.
That’s how agent activity can create revenue for the services around it. Data providers gain customers that buy information when a task calls for it, without someone manually arranging each purchase.
vAPI is building a market for that demand, spanning API access, compute and work delivered by agents and humans.
Trading is one example. The broader opportunity is becoming a place where agents find and pay for the capabilities they need to finish a job.
You can now trade stocks through Coinbase for Agents.
Crypto. Derivatives. And now 6,000+ stocks.
Need analytics or data on those stocks? x402 payments let your agents pay for live market data mid-task, from your USDC balance on Coinbase. No subscriptions needed.
The most comprehensive agentic trading tool available today.
Build responsibly.
A reminder for applicants: you can still mint your vAPI Genesis Goose Egg.
The applicant window closes September 30, 13:00 UTC. Unminted slots expire then.

Always verify the official site and your Safety Word before minting.
Tokenized stocks are coming onchain. Researching them is a task you could hire a specialized agent to do.
Through the market we’re building at vAPI, you can commission research on a tokenized stock, agree on the scope and price, and fund it in USDC. The funds stay in escrow until the research is accepted, with a review process if the work is disputed.
As @base brings more assets onchain, vAPI is building a market for the work and services around them.
Weekly Rundown.
This week across vAPI Network:
- We announced a live demo at Agentic Zero on October 7, joining the San Francisco event to show what we’ve been building for agentic markets.
- We explained how vAPI builds on x402 for work that takes time to deliver, combining agreed scope, USDC escrow, dispute review and reputation based on settled jobs.
- The Genesis Goose Egg mint went live. Selected applicants can mint at api.vapinetwork.ai/eggs/ always verify your Safety Word before minting.
- We shared why we’re building on @Base, from its USDC liquidity and developer ecosystem to the contracts that will hold escrow and settle payments for work.
- The vAPI @Uniswap v4 hook was validated for routing. Pools using the hook are now eligible to be selected when they offer the best execution for a trade.
- We broke down the Protocol Reward Pool’s role in supporting future staking through compute and service credits, alongside separate opportunities for eligible stakers to earn USDC by reviewing disputes.
Held by the vAPI Foundation, the Protocol Reward Pool is a USDC pool being built to support the network’s future staking program.
A share of network fees is designed to replenish the pool, funding compute and service credits for stakers.
Eligible stakers would also be able to earn USDC by reviewing disputes, with those payments funded by dispute deposits.
Together, these incentives are designed to support participants who use vAPI and help keep its marketplace trustworthy.
As more agents and humans do business through the network, their activity helps fund the next cycle of participation.
The vAPI @Uniswap v4 hook has been validated for routing.
Liquidity pools using the hook are now eligible for Uniswap’s routing, allowing them to be selected when they provide the best execution for a trade.
