A step for inclusive and sustainable community impact across T. Narasipura, and Nanjangud Taluks was taken with the #MoU signing with @DC_Mysuru. Focus on Early Childhood Care and Education, SPARKScienceLabs, school development, safe drinking water, and village development.
Through #OBD, @uwbe, in collaboration with the @BDA, has enabled 1,441 rainwater-harvesting percolation wells across 77 parks and residential premises, with the potential to recharge an estimated 18.459 crore litres of rainwater annually.

Bengaluru’s Water Security - BDA’s Step Towards a Sustainable Future.
BDA Chairman Sri N. A. Haris inaugurated over 1,441 Rainwater Harvesting Percolation Wells constructed across BDA parks and residential premises at Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout, 4th Block.
Implemented in collaboration with United Way of Bengaluru under the One Billion Drops (OBD) initiative, the project has the potential to recharge an estimated 18.459 crore litres of rainwater annually through groundwater recharge.
Spread across 77 BDA parks and residential premises, the initiative will help reduce surface runoff, strengthen groundwater levels and contribute to Bengaluru’s long-term water resilience.
The BDA also launched GreenBengaluruByBDA.in, a digital platform to make its greening initiatives more transparent, measurable and accessible to citizens.
BDA officials and representatives of United Way of Bengaluru were present on the occasion.

During 2025-26, BDA under CSR with NGO United Way-Bengaluru facilitated construction of nearly 1450 RWH Percolation Wells in BDA Housing Projects & Layouts to aid ground water recharge for Bengaluru. Roughly 14.5 crore litres of water to be recharged to ground annually!!
