OpenAI now keeps your Codex cache forever.
In the API it's now 12 hours.
In Codex and Work, for logged-in users, it never expires.
Why does this matter?
Until now, if you left a long session for a few hours, that cache was gone.
You came back and paid for everything again.
Now you don't.
The founder of Türkiye's biggest science website says AI is subsidised...
I think that's the wrong fear.
We are not the ones who actually pay for AI.
It's enterprises, on usage-based API pricing, where every token is billed.
+
They pay it gladly because their data and workflows are worth far more than the tokens.
So are subscriptions draining these companies?
No. They don't hurt the business. The API pays the bills
And costs only move one way.

Looking to connect with indie hackers, founders & devs building with AI 🤝
T3 Code'yi prompt'un ve total usage'nin kaç usd olduğunu gösterecek şekilde editledim.
Koda bakmadım bile.
Claude kendisi gitti api pricingleri buldu, T3 Code'in reposunu klonladı, değiştirdi ve benim için build aldı.
AI'yı çok seviyorum çünkü her şeyi yapabiliyorsun...
@theo i know you guys busy with tons of shit that's why i didn't create a PR for it. any possibility to add this feature in the near future?
