In a @utclsu project led by Dr. Kazemian, students developed an innovative system for the insertion of discontinuous vertical reinforcement into 3D-printed beams. This will enable the automated construction of concrete structures without manual reinforcement installation.

Dr. Hojati and her research team at UNM are working on addressing the problem of reinforcement in 3D concrete printing by enhancing the ductility of 3D-printed ECCs. They developed the 3D printable ECCs using local materials in region 6 as part of a Tran-SET-funded project.
