Good for him. They must be out of their mind to want to issue him a new contract. It clearly shows that the club has no direction. What a shame!

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

It’s a shame.
The Nigerian railway commission created a black market for tickets and won’t do anything to stop it.

This is an example of a leader that is worthy of praise and emulation. Very proactive and leading from the front.
My dear Ndi Enugu, I am deeply concerned by the reports of violence surrounding the recent political gathering in Enugu, particularly the shooting that left a citizen injured. My immediate concern is for those who have been hurt, those who experienced fear, and the families affected. I want to assure them that their safety and well-being matter to me personally. I know how much our people value the peace and security we have worked so hard to establish in Enugu. Incidents such as these cause anxiety and deserve our full attention. Every citizen, whatever their political affiliation, must be able to exercise their political rights without fear or violence. The Enugu State Government has made its position clear regarding allegations of involvement in this violence. Our fundamental responsibility as a government is to protect lives, uphold the law, and ensure that justice is pursued without favour. “We didn't fight for this rickety democracy... That somebody will look at your face and say, oh, you should not vote.” Human rights lawyer Femi Falana says Nigerians deserve answers about the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway’s estimated ₦15 trillion cost and route changes.

It took Engr. Umahi 3years + to realize this and make a detour. A project of 15 Trillion Naira. A project that was hastily approved by President Tinubu without any proper documentation or bidding process in place. Has to be biggest money heist of our time. An SPV!
“You cannot build a road on the coast from Lagos to Calabar. I mean, you can’t even go through Bayelsa. Bayelsa is swamp. Even Yenagoa, the capital, is swamp. You’ll probably have to build about 100 or 200 bridges to go through those swamps.” ——Donald Duke

She has been vindicated. 🎉 Engr. Dave Umahi in the mud.
David Umahi owes this lady an apology. Remember when she asked him questions about the Costal road EIA report project and Umahi tired to make her sound silly and wave off the question.

3 years of Coast road noise, now all in the mud. The minister and his enablers ought to be sacked. How can you after 3 years suddenly decide that the initial planned route is no longer viable, more than 20% into the execution phase. Such a shame!!
In case you missed it, the Lagos-Calabar coastal road project would no longer go through the coast after Lagos and Ogun states. Instead, it would detour inland though Edo State to join the East-West Road. Mr Umahi calls this "a wonderful engineering decision by Mr President" 🤣

Again it clearly shows proper feasibility study wasn’t carried out. Fashola that wasn’t a certified engineer did far better. He understood the rudimentary process.
