I just saw my first Junco of the season. I assume that means colder temperatures are coming soon.
The White throat sparrows have been growing in number for about a week now and just yesterday I was thinking that I would see the first Junco join them very soon.
This "journalist" gets taken by obvious scammers constantly. If this was happening to me I would have a serious think about why I am such a sucker but instead Great just keeps getting taken by the most obvious scammers possible.

I immediately block all stupid that I see here, especially in the replies. I assumed I would eventually run out but they keep coming.
I likely block 10-20 idiots a day, sometimes far more but there always seems to be the same amount of them.
This site is very broken.

For the last 10 years, I have ignored false and misleading stories about me and focused on the work.
But the cycle has gotten out of control where old lies get repeated as fact, new ones get added, and the record becomes increasingly distorted.
So from time to time, I’m going to respond, not to every allegation. But when the truth matters, I’ll put the facts and supporting information out publicly, and people can judge for themselves.
How is it possible Americans are confused by the low quality people with poor morals that are leading their government after they chose to make a low quality person with poor morals their leader? Is it willful ignorance or are they just easily manipulated?
Why are we paying to help rich oil companies profit more bigly? They just made 10s of billions in *EXTRA" profit from Trump's war, use that $.
I'm all for more pipelines where they make sense but taxpayers paying to help oil company profits is bonkers.
I wanted to check out a local park where I had noticed some New England Aster and another wild Aster have been spreading to see how things were going and was very pleasantly surprised. It doesn't take much to get nature going on its own. Monarchs and bees everywhere!
This documentary is extremely well done.
It's impossible to watch it and not come to the conclusion that the Israeli military is filled with depraved savages. None of these medics were a threat to anyone for even a second.

I am almost sure that Trump offered to sell weapons to China as a way to pretend that he hasn't depleted US supplies. He thinks everyone is as easy to manipulate as he is while I'm sure Xi is thinking that Trump just confirmed things are much worse than anyone thought.
I find it bonkers that Americans are still pretending they didn't vote for exactly this. Like they somehow didn't know exactly what they were getting.
It's not helpful to anyone except Trump and his fellow Republicans.
We stayed on the Isle of Arran for
two nights and while waiting for a bus, a kind local in a kilt and Tam O' Shanter came out and offered to drive us to town in his Citroen 2CV.
I didn't want to risk insulting him by asking for a picture but I really should have.
Seems Denmark did what I've been suggesting and gave Trump a deal where he gains nothing but both sides have agreed to play pretend.
I've said Carney should tell Trump to give Canada all we want and Carney will publicly say that Trump beat us badly because he's so strong.
Gorgeous day for a ferry trip to the Isle of Arran in the Firth of Clyde. They say whale sightings are at extremely high right now so hopefully I'll be lucky enough to see some.
Can people stop pretending that Trump has some kind of mental illness for behaving exactly the same way he always has? He's not crazy or insane, he's just bad a person without morals who Americans chose as their leader.
Why pretend that he's changed when he absolutely hasn't?
