What a recipe run costs on the cherryOS RTX 3090: 48 steps, about 13 GPU-seconds, 0.85 credits. An Apple M5 mines that in about 16 seconds in Chrome.
With no $Cherry, it is your starter run of the day.
Inside a recipe: the same 36 everyday questions, answered in one voice. Only the voice changes from one recipe to the next.
The examples are public: recipes.exe shows one on each card before you train.
Why 48 steps: trained for 160, the pirate learned the voice and recited its training answers. Asked how to cook pasta, it explained how to bake bread.
At 48 steps it keeps the voice and writes new answers, for about a third of the GPU time.
We asked the six recipe models a question none of them was trained on: What is a rainbow?
Their answers, word for word, in the image. Each one is Qwen 0.5B plus a LoRA adapter, trained for 48 steps on the cherryOS RTX 3090.
New on the cherryOS desktop: recipes.exe.
Pick a recipe, press train, and talk to your own fine-tuned model about 30 seconds later. Six to start: the pirate, the haiku poet, the cat, explain like I am five, the grumpy sysadmin, the robot.

The leaderboard has a season tab: live standings, the prize next to each rank, a countdown to Monday, and every past season with its winners.
Each prize is sent in solana:Ef4jVGopKjCsYehX3rHXfSptvJhmHHYNekQywA7Rpump after the season closes, and the payment is linked next to the winner.
Last week, read as if it had been a season: 144 wallets mined. 1st place verified 60,164 credits of work, an RTX 3060 came 2nd with 37,506, and 10th place took 790.
An Apple M5 in Chrome makes about 190 credits an hour.
How you rank: each share the coordinator verifies counts 2^bits hashes, the same work that mints your credits. The season adds up a wallet's work from Monday 00:00 UTC to the next Monday.
Several devices can mine to one address: their work adds up.
Season 1 of cherryOS mining: Monday 19 October 00:00 UTC to Monday 26 October 00:00 UTC.
Every verified hash that week counts. The 10 wallets with the most work share 500,000 $CHERRY.
Mining is free, in a browser tab: cherryos.dev
How to use it:
1. miner.exe: set a wallet, mine a few minutes
2. recipes.exe or train.exe
3. sign once, free, no gas
4. talk to your model
An Apple M5 mines about 190 credits an hour in Chrome. A recipe run uses 0.85.

What a starter run covers:
Qwen 0.5B
up to 200 rows of your own data, or a recipe
paid with mined credits, 4 to start
one a day per wallet, back at 00:00 UTC
a run that fails does not use up the day
The first starter run in production: a wallet holding 0 $Cherry mined in Chrome on an Apple M5, then trained the pirate recipe.
RTX 3090, 48 steps, 12.7 GPU-seconds, 0.85 credits, 29 seconds from click to a model you can talk to.
Why: 797 wallets have mined since launch, 351,035 credits in all, and 313 of them hold enough for a run. Until today only holders could spend them.
Mining was half of cherryOS. Training is the other half, and it is now open to every miner.
Update: every wallet that mines on cherryOS can now spend its credits on training, without holding $CHERRY.
One starter run a day on Qwen 0.5B, paid with mined credits, and 20 chat messages a day. Holders of 100,000 $Cherry keep no daily limit.

Shipped this week, found while bringing the cherryOS GPU back:
node.sh installs as root on Linux
the trainer runs on NumPy 1 images
a node the coordinator lost now reconnects by itself
ledger.exe answers in 0.3 s instead of 20
the burn app
How a run on cherryOS is billed: GPU-seconds ÷ 60 × 4 credits.
RTX A5000, 80 steps: 16.6 s, 1.10 credits
Apple M5, 152 steps: 63.2 s, 4.21 credits
A community node bills at most 10 s plus 0.35 s a step, and a run that fails is not billed.
From a tab to a trained model: an Apple M5 mines about 3.2 credits a minute in Chrome.
Our first run on the cherryOS RTX A5000 cost 1.10 credits: 80 steps, 16.6 GPU-seconds, a 36 MB LoRA adapter back in 40 seconds. About 21 seconds of mining.
The last 24 hours on cherryOS: an RTX 3060 mined 9,195 credits. Then a Radeon, an RTX 4060, a GTX 1660 Super, an Apple M2 Pro and an M4 Pro, an RTX 5060, and Intel UHD 630 laptop graphics.
11 miners were online as we read it.
New on the cherryOS desktop: burn.exe.
It lists every $Cherry sent to the burn address since launch, read from the chain, each with its transaction.
27,621,708 $Cherry burned so far, 2.76% of the supply, in 25 transactions.
