Two years ago today, I deployed the very first version of Affonso.
I had no customers, no revenue, just an idea I couldn't stop thinking about.
It took until January 2025 to get my first paying customer, and looking back, those first few months felt like forever.
But once someone was willing to pay, things slowly started to snowball.
Today I realized something funny.
Exactly one year after that first deployment, on September 10, 2025, I quit my job as a Sales Rep.
I hadn't planned it that way at all. I only realized it today because I told my former manager I wanted to quit on his birthday.
The startup I worked for had been acquired, and instead of looking for another job, I decided to bet on myself.
I had enough savings to get me through August if things didn't work out.
Thankfully, I barely had to touch them.
Today I get to work on something I genuinely love, every single day.
Building Affonso has been the hardest thing I've ever done, but it's also been the most rewarding.
I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who's been part of this journey.
Here's to year three. ❤️
