It moved forward in the night, escorted by the Israeli occupation army and the militias operating under its protection, and by morning the last civilians on the edge of the neighbourhood had been forced to flee west into the unknown. There are no tents waiting for them and nowhere left to go. All they did was run from death. Since Sunday, the occupation has dragged these concrete markers of the Yellow Line west through Shuja’iyya, swallowing the entire neighbourhood and pushing them to within metres of Salah Al-Din Street.
