Argument for keeping pattern 3 as prostate cancer: "Because we can't be sure that we haven't missed pattern 4 in the biopsy". Same can now be said of ASAP. Therefore either ASAP is cancer or pattern 3 isn't.

Really like this little paper we've published in the brilliant new @BJUICompass on 10 yrs of #ASAP at #Oxford_Urology. THM - not all subsequent biopsies after ASAP are #LowGrade. In fact 24.1% had GG≥2 within 2yrs of diagnosis of ASAP. @thineskrishna doi.org/10.1002/bco2.407

AUA’s Coding and Reimbursement Committee could approach CMS to show no evidence based justification to pay for it. I’m sure CMS would like to save $$$ and it would stop that train dead on the tracks.
