10 years ago I didn't think I'd still be alive today. I was a shell of a human. I was completely broken, depressed, relying on medications and alcohol to cope. I hated myself. I hated my life. I had completely lost any sense of joy or excitement in my life. I spent most of my time isolating myself from everyone, consumed by anxiety, and just trying to make it through another day. And I got into the gym as a last ditch effort since I figured it couldn't get any worse at that point. But man… did it immediately open my eyes to how much it helped my anxiety. I originally hated how I looked, but once I started feeling my mental health change so dramatically, it was game over. For the first time, I started realizing that maybe I wasn't stuck being the person I'd been for so long. I could actually DO something to change how I felt and the direction my life was going. And from there, the transformation trickled into quite literally every single area of my life. I started keeping promises to myself, doing hard things, building confidence, and realizing I was capable of becoming someone completely different. It changed my work ethic. It changed how I performed in school and at my job at the time. It changed my relationships and how I showed up for myself and the people around me. And ultimately, that built the foundation for the life I have now. Fast forward 10–12 years and I'm living a life beyond my wildest dreams. I went from barely being able to talk to people to running a company, leading a team, traveling the world, living by the water, having an incredible community around me, and experiencing a level of peace I never thought was possible. And now I get to help other people change their lives too. Which is pretty crazy considering there was a time I didn't even think I'd be alive to experience any of it. And I owe it all to that one decision. That's why I've always believed fitness is about SO much more than losing weight or changing how you look. It's about who you become in the process. And that's why I built my company Unbreakable. I wanted to become Unbreakable in every sense of the word. And more than anything that's what I want for everyone who comes into our world. Whether your goal is to lose 30 pounds, get stronger, have more energy, or just feel good about yourself again, I want you to realize how much more you're capable of and how much your life can change when you start taking ownership of it. Because I know firsthand just how much can change when you do.

My definition of success has changed dramatically over the last few years. I don't want a life that looks impressive from the outside but feels miserable to actually live.
