Silver tends to break through all support levels in combination with the GSR breaking higher, only to reverse a few days later and form a long-term bottom. I think that’s what’s happening now; we’ll have to watch for a breakout above the first resistance levels to confirm this. We called the June 30 lows in real time, but this retest in to full ABC corrections has surely done its job in wearing people out.

#gold #silver My email to KWN in 2014. No change, a broken clock. Has Michael Oliver ever been bearish on gold and silver? When a "few" chartists rang the bell in January, he told us that silver would go to $500 by June. A few days after the major top, he told us to "ignore the topcallers". Later, "many" chartists saw the obvious. He has no shame and still pretends to be smart, making all the others seem wrong. Any methodology that predicts a market will go up 5x in five months, only to watch it lose ~60%, might be unique, but it is useless. These guys have caused so much damage to retail investors. When gold and silver bottom, I hope that we will leave behind us all these clowns and their religious followers.

Trump has thrown in the towel, given up. He no longer wants to pretend to be President. His speeches are rehashed nonsense. He just wants to talk about vanity projects. He lets his mind wander, in public, to homoerotic fantasies. He isn’t hiding his allegiance to Putin and his abandonment of America and her friends. His scams are all exposed. He is a sick, tired, old queen who can’t keep the mask on. But, he’s still very dangerous because the more he can hurt others, the better he feels.

A Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. Once again, no early warning from our partners. The main target was energy infrastructure, specifically CHPP-4. Unfortunately, it was hit. A residential building was also damaged, and rescuers are currently putting out a fire there. Our systems detected these missiles only when they were already virtually on approach to Kyiv. CHPP-4 is one of Kyiv’s key energy facilities. According to our intelligence, the Russians are preparing further ballistic missile launches. The facts show that the Russians do not consider themselves bound by what the President of the United States said. Ukraine supported an energy ceasefire. Russia is targeting yet another power plant and the lives of our people. And this is absolutely unjust: when they are destroying our energy infrastructure, and Ukraine is not even receiving early warnings about ballistic missile launches. It is important that the world does not stay silent about this. And it is important that the United States really see what is happening and who is responsible for this war continuing. Please stay safe tonight and tomorrow. We are working to replenish our air defenses with anti-ballistic missiles.

Oh he sent me an email, I think I’ll respond. So yes, actually you did do something wrong President Trump, let’s first start with your broken campaign promises. You protected your pedophile rapists friends instead of women who were raped when they were just teenage girls and you STILL REFUSE to release the Epstein files. You started an unprovoked war with Iran that the vast majority of Americans do NOT support. You killed hundreds of children at a school in Iran and innocent people and are responsible for 21 U.S. service members deaths and 865 wounded. Your stupid war that you claim you have won like 50 times has destroyed our bases in the Middle East and hundreds of billions of dollars worth of military equipment and weapons, while depleting our weapons and ammunitions. You are supporting, funding, and aiding genocide in Gaza that has resulted in approximately 22,000 children murdered, thousands of children with amputations, and over 70,000 orphans. And your so called Board of “Peace” has done nothing to stop war and is planning to oversee the very profitable reconstruction and take over of Gaza. One can only guess who all will get those blood money contracts, the Epstein class and associates. And let’s talk about the basics that every single US president is supposed to guarantee to its citizens. Affordable cost of living and affordable fuel in which you have 100% failed to deliver and actually driven inflation and irresponsibly driven the cost of gasoline and diesel to record high levels. So did you do something wrong? Yes in summary, YOU are the snake that you warned us all about in the poem you read over and over. You never cared about putting America first or making America great again. You are the deep state, the Epstein class, and America last. And my mistake was supporting you in the first place.

“Campbell, what do you think of gold?” I’ll stop buying when China stops buying
BREAKING: China’s central bank officially bought +23 tonnes of gold in September, its largest monthly purchase since September 2023. This follows +20 tonnes purchased in both August and July, and marks its 23rd consecutive monthly gold purchase. So far in 2026, China has officially acquired +103 tonnes of gold, raising total holdings to a record 2,410 tonnes. China is now the world’s 5th-largest gold holder, following the US, Germany, Italy, and France. At this pace, it could surpass Italy and France as early as this year, which hold 2,452 tonnes and 2,437 tonnes, respectively. China is aggressively buying the dip in gold.

Only asset classes that are close to 9% for a real return of 2% after taxes and inflation are gold and Nasdaq for much more volatility. I’ve been moving the core portfolio over to a modified permanent portfolio based on Charles Gave’s work on it (pdf below). Even doing that, I’m at about 7.7%, a bit more perhaps if I’m brave enough with cash in volatility and use cashflow to rebalance to be tax efficient versus selling to rebalance. Point I’m finding is nothing hits it currently and I don’t expect anything to for a long time. Just too much debt in the world. Only thing that comes close is maintaining high cashflow, keeping debt low, and being willing to ride volatility. Simple but not easy. web.gavekal.com/media/ebook_…

Germany's demise is self-inflicted and will one day be studied as the largest self-sabotage of a developed country. While Swiss industry grows, German industrial production contracts. Here are few major reasons for this debacle: 1. Energy made too expensive and unreliable by closing nuclear plants and building dependence on unreliable supplier Russia. As a result energy intensive industries are in free fall, or simply move production abroad. 2. Grotesque overregulation and bureaucracy throttling investment, growth, capital formation, and innovation, nationally and by implementing the highest EU standards instead of the minimum required. 3. Arrogance and complacency. Remember the VW managers laughing at Tesla a few years ago? Imagine their view of Chinese competition then. 4. Last-century corporate governance and labor laws unfit for a fast-changing, AI-fueled world. Executives waste time negotiating with unions and spend billions on severances instead of innovation and competitiveness. 5. Absurd overtaxation, salaries not much higher than national average get one into the top income tax rate of 42%. This throttles entrepreneurship, motivation to build, innovate and create jobs for others. None of this changes, there are no structural reforms, and the left in government will tax entrepreneurs more instead, further throttling growth. Enjoy your prosperity Germany, it won’t last forever.
Nothing better explains Germany's demise than the comparison with Switzerland. Switzerland has much higher salaries and a stronger currency, yet it keeps growing and its industry thrives while German industrial production implodes. The reason is simple, Swiss productivity keeps rising, holding labor costs stable. In Germany, salaries rise without productivity growth, making products more expensive. No one in Europe works fewer hours than the Germans. They no longer value hard work and productivity. Instead, they listen to populists offering simple solutions, left redistribution and "tax the rich" nonsense, or the far-right blaming immigrants for everything. It starts with values and mindset. Either Germans start working hard again, or they will keep losing the prosperity the world once admired.

Gezeichnet Andreas W. Sentiment on lithium has turned very negative, mostly on the back of unrelated bits of information. So let's talk numbers, not opinions. What do we actually know? Demand. The hard data: China's battery production through August 2026 is up the equivalent of ~400kt LCE vs last year. If we carry only part of that growth through to year-end, Chinese batteries alone add at least ~500kt LCE of demand vs 2025. Supply. Here the only hard data is exporters' trade statistics. Change vs 2025, in kt LCE (YTD Aug → full-year 2026F): 🇦🇺 Australia: +30 → +60 🇨🇱 Chile: +70 → +50 🇦🇷 Argentina: +30 → +65 🇧🇷 Brazil: -10 → -15 🌍 Africa: +50 → +65 🇨🇦 Canada: 0 → 0 🇨🇳 China: +40 → +70 (the softest number) Total: +210 → ~+295 Even after adding the production that projects and producers have announced, 2026 supply growth comes to roughly 300kt. It's not much more than that. It can't be much more than that. So for 2026: Demand: +500kt Supply: ~+300kt Balance: a deficit of ~200kt LCE The deficit is already here. 2027? The bears say demand will pull back. That's much harder to agree or disagree with. But the inventory drawdown happening right now will clearly push the market into deficit. Figures and views are iLiMarkets' assessment.
