🚨 WCK Inquest Update
In August the Israeli military said there would be no criminal case over the killing of three former British soldiers who were working as aid workers in Gaza. A week later the colonel who gave the order went on television and said he wasn't sorry.
Today a British coroner said she is minded to make that colonel, Nochi Mendel, and the IDF Interested Persons in the inquest into the deaths of James Kirby, John Chapman and Jim Henderson.
I am the solicitor for James Kirby's family. My clients have waited two and a half years for an answer. What today means is that Colonel Mendel and the IDF can now take part, see the evidence and give their account, in a court that will properly examine what happened. James's family would like to hear from him.
On the family's behalf we have also asked the Coroner to bring in the MoD, the FCDO and Elbit Systems, and to establish whether an RAF aircraft over Gaza that day passed information to the IDF. Those questions remain open.

Israel has killed an average of seven children each day in Lebanon since March, according to the Save the Children relief organization.
"Over the last six months, Israel has killed at least 4,300 people, wounded over 12,000 and destroyed between 60 and 70 villages... The toll includes at least 257 children killed and 1,039 injured."
"A nationwide assessment conducted by Lebanon’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education has found that 340 schools have been damaged or destroyed in the past six months."

Israeli forces killed a Palestinian, carried out mass detentions, and imposed widespread closures across the occupied West Bank on Sunday and Monday. More than 100 Palestinians were subjected to field interrogations over the past two days, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said.
Jenin: Israeli forces shot and killed a 32-year-old Palestinian and wounded another after opening fire on a vehicle near Haddad village east of Jenin on Sunday, WAFA reported. Israeli forces withheld the slain man’s body and prevented Palestinian Red Crescent crews from reaching the scene. Israeli media later alleged the vehicle attempted a ramming attack, but did not share any evidence to back the claim. Forces also raided villages west of Jenin, closed roads and entrances, forced businesses to shut, and detained residents.
Tubas and northern Jordan Valley: Israeli forces prevented 104 teachers from reaching their schools on Sunday by closing the Tayasir and Ein Shibli checkpoints, disrupting schools serving around 1,100 students.
Ramallah and Al-Bireh: Israeli forces detained at least 35 Palestinians during an ongoing raid on Al-Mughayyir, closed the village’s only entrance, searched homes, and seized money and gold, according to local sources.
East Jerusalem: Israeli forces continued a large-scale operation in Biddu, raiding homes and holding dozens of Palestinians for field interrogation in a house converted into a detention center. In Sur Baher, several shops caught fire during confrontations in which Israeli forces fired stun grenades and tear gas.
Nablus: Israeli forces will close all military checkpoints surrounding Nablus at 6 p.m. Monday, coinciding with planned settler movements and marches, the Palestinian military liaison said.

Poor Ella is not having any luck at all. No offers of a home for her.
Her previous appeals don't seem to be helping either.
Glasgow based - can you share? We cover the whole of Scotland and can offer transport for the right home.
Ella is an 8 year old female Tabby cat. She is looking for a new home. Sadly her previous home offer fell through.
Ella would be best in a quiet home with no other pets or children as she appears to get stressed.
She would be suited to someone who is on their own with a calm quiet home to allow her to relax.
Ella is registered at the vets and has been seen recently. She is healthy and active.
Ella is chipped and spayed.
She eats a mix of wet and dry food and can be left on her own if you need to go out.
Ella will venture outside but won't go as far away as the garden.
She likes to sleep in a cave she made herself in the wardrobe at night or on top of the drawers where there are clothes for her to keep cosy.
She is up to date with her vaccinations and very affectionate. She isn't keen being picked up but will be happy to sit next to you on the sofa or bed.

This lovely girl really is waiting patiently, please share to help Marley on her way.
Marley is a beautiful 5 year old female Rottweiler.
She is available and looking for a home with someone who has experience with larger dogs.
Marley has lived with other dogs however there has been some dominance in the house between them so she would be best as the only pet.
Marley is friendly and loving, a home with older kids is better as she will knock small children over.
Marley is chipped and healthy with no medical issues.
She eats a mix of raw food and sleeps in the kitchen at night.
Marley can be left alone if you need to go out. She is also registered at the vets and great travelling in the car.
She loves a treat and wears a Halti when walked.
Marley loves meeting new people and loves getting a cuddle, she will jump up for attention if she isn’t getting it.
Marley is up to date with her vaccinations. She will come back when food is involved but otherwise doesn’t have much recall. She loves honey ham.
A home with no cats is required.

What is happening in Gaza right now is terrifying.
On Salah al-Din Road, the army has deployed what we call “explosive robots” — military vehicles loaded with explosives. I will not even describe what happens when they detonate.
In the Al-Masdar area, tanks suddenly advanced among civilians, leaving people killed and injured. Artillery continues to strike along the Yellow Line, while quadcopters are spread across Gaza.
People here do not know where the danger will come from or when.
