Public service is a noble calling. We can encourage the best among us to serve by showing civility to those members of Congress with whom we strongly disagree. Chasing them through airports, into bathrooms, through grocery stores, or inside restaurants is counterproductive.

GOOD NEWS: Virginia has the highest vaccination rate in the South! 81% of Virginia adults have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine—and that number keeps growing. Together, we can end this pandemic.
To celebrate #ArborDay, STIHL is proud to support tree recovery efforts following devastating fires in the Pacific Northwest. We’re collaborating with state parks in California and Oregon to plant 2,021 trees in 2021. Click bit.ly/3eGkKcx to learn more #parks #stihl

This morning, I visited the new federally-run Community Vaccination Center in Norfolk which opened its doors today and will administer about 20,000 shots a week.
Grateful for the support of @fema and our other federal, state, and local partners as we work to #VaccinateVirginia.

This is great news! An investment of this size will propel the Commonwealth's railways into the 21st century and help reduce congestion and travel times for commuters as many folks get vaccinated and head back to work.

Residents are getting vaccinated, COVID-19 cases in #NorfolkVA are going down & restrictions are easing statewide – but we all have to continue to do our part to keep our city healthy. Remain vigilant & wear a mask in public places to help prevent the spread! #MaskUpNorfolk 😷

If not for the swift actions of @CapitolPolice Officers like Eugene Goodman, the attack on our nation's Capitol could have been much worse. I'm a proud sponsor of the resolution the Senate just passed awarding him the Congressional Gold Medal — a very worthy honor.

Our country cannot afford another day without a confirmed @DHSgov Secretary. Given our government went through the largest cybersecurity breach in our nation's history and domestic terrorism is on the rise, the Senate should act and confirm @AliMayorkas nomination ASAP.

Though our bipartisan group put together the second biggest relief package in history in December, Americans are still in need of lifelines like food, unemployment benefits, and small business relief. I’m glad the Biden administration is reaching out to us early to get this done.
This just in: we talk with @MarkWarner, a member of that bipartisan group that helped push the last COVID stimulus through, just after their call with the WH. We’ll ask him about the prospects for another round of relief —and what about that impeachment trial? On @npratc tonight

Fauci debunks CNN reporting, says Biden's vaccine rollout not 'starting from scratch'
I thought the Biden Admin was dedicated to the truth. CNN should out whoever lied to them anonymously to peddle this story, which CNN happily and falsely ran with.

The idea that a group of so-called ‘patriots’ would sell a government computer to the Russians should tell you everything you need to know about the people who assaulted the Capitol.

I am confident Avril Haines will serve honorably as Director of National Intelligence. Given the critical importance of this role, it's appropriate that she has become the first member of the Biden admin to be confirmed by the Senate in a bipartisan vote.
