Nobody in @stkildafc circles has a bad word to say about Tony Brown. It's such a cliche but he legitimately might the nicest person in football. It's been an absolute pleasure chatting with Tony for @unpluggered and @zerohanger over the years, he leaves incredibly large shoes to fill at Moorabbin. Wishing you all the best in your next adventure 'Browny'. Look after him, @westernbulldogs 🙏

Could @stkildafc end up with both Sam Gayfer and Tyson Bradley in the 2026 #AFLDraft? Keen to hear what @JontyRalphsmith and @MitchKeat think with the Saints holding (currently) #10 & #16. Having traded for young Sam Marshall who hopefully holds down a midfield spot for the next decade, could St Kilda draft two bookends for the next decade too? The last time we did that we ended up with Paddy McCartin and Hugh Goddard...

St Kilda get: Pick #14 Geelong get: Rowan Marshall, future 3rd rounder Yesterday: "#14 for Marshall and a later pick swap or extra pick probably gets it done, unless Geelong can come up with a pick around #20."

Geelong have been hunting Rowan Marshall for two years. He's clearly the type of player they're missing, and need to take the next step. Why would the Saints give up a contracted key player for less than market rate, to a rival? He's finished 4x in the Top-5 of the B&F. Plus 6th once and 10th once. 6x Top-10s in ten years. It's a pretty simple equation from a Geelong perspective: a) he's very important - pay up b) he's not that important - not willing to pay value How is that St Kilda's fault? Saying they will accommodate a trade doesn't mean just accepting ANY offer. They will accept a FAIR trade for a key, contracted player. Simple.
