ai6z crypto will complete $9.51B total funding after the Fifth raise
-Last raise was in 2022 of $4.5B
-Estimated projects funded: 60+
-Estimated ROI: ~1.8x (on paper)
-Highest ROI from a single project ~2.1x (Sui)
Post-funding returns from the Fourth (IV) phase have been the lowest compared to the previous three phases
~ A common belief behind the lower ROI is that the VC valued projects according to the 2021 bull-market valuations
But many of those projects couldn’t achieve the expected valuations from retail during the 2024–25 cycle, and the shorter market cycle also pushed valuations down significantly
Now a16z crypto is targeting to raise $2B as its Fifth fund
This would be the third-largest raise among all its previous funds
If they complete raising this amount, we are likely going to see another wave of new projects appearing on the timeline
and yes, many new opportunities may open again for airdrop farmers to work on projects
But if we look at the other side:
-Too much involvement of VCs in projects pushing more power towardas them
-Retail becoming exit liquidity
-Projects can be valued higher than what they actually deserve
- A large chunk of supply vested to VCs can be sold in the OTC/Pre-market nowadays helping VCs to get out even before access to real token
This scenario mostly plays out when the market is not in a strong bull phase, and retail investors often end up exiting at a loss
~ Attached images below show the sources and performance of a16z crypto from previous raises and the current ROI of projects.

VC FIRM A16Z CRYPTO LOOKS TO RAISE FOR FIFTH FUND, TARGETING A SIZE OF $2B: BBG
Over $100M has been shielded for the Zama auction
The biggest bidder as of now is @flowdesk_co
They have bid around $11.57M from two different addresses
Still 2 hours left before bidding ends
Can we see more whales entering the sale? 👀
It’s been over 48 hours since the Zama sealed-bid Dutch auction went live
Over $31M USDT has been shielded,
with a total of 4,280 bids so far
The highest shielded amount by a single address is $6.5M, which most likely belongs to Flowdesk
In total, they’ve shielded $6.68M USDT for the auction
If we look at the current pre-market FDV, Zama is trading around $670M
and the valuation they got from VCs is around $1.2B
So, I’m expecting the public auction clearing price to land somewhere around $400–500M FDV
That would still be a good cook for users participating with good capital
If you ask me about TGE price prediction, it could be around $0.065–0.07,
which puts Zama at roughly $715M–$770M FDV
later, 1-2 hrs of tge, we may see price surpass $1B
We recently saw a similar playbook with Sentient
Pre-TGE trading was around $500–600M FDV
TGE around $750M FDV
A few hours later, it surpassed $1B FDV
High chances we see a similar move with Zama as well
However, if we get an Upbit listing announcement at TGE,
the scenario could completely change, and Zama may list at a much higher FDV than expected
Good luck to all the participants!

We are revising our developer API policies:
We will no longer allow apps that reward users for posting on X (aka “infofi”). This has led to a tremendous amount of AI slop & reply spam on the platform.
We have revoked API access from these apps, so your X experience should start improving soon (once the bots realize they’re not getting paid anymore).

Things are not looking good for @ cascade_xyz
There’s a high probability that the founder behind
@perenniallabs and Cascade is the same person
he is likely hiding his identity so that FOMO around Cascade doesn’t die after the reveal
Here’s why things look scary for Cascade:
On Dec 7, 2022, Perennial raised $12M in a seed round from investors like Polychain, Variant, and Archetype
to build a decentralized perpetuals trading protocol on a rollup
The founders were revealed as Arjun Rao and 𝗞𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘇
They introduced their Petals points program on Dec 3, 2024 and ran it for around 8 months
after that, they made announcement that they would no longer continue with Perennial and will launch a new project
saying that users’ earned points would be transferred to the new project
that was a total slap for users who had been using their platform after the points program went live in the hope of an airdrop
but in the end the project itself was shut down
Now back to Cascade
On Dec 9, 2025, they raised $15M in a seed round from investors like Polychain, Coinbase Ventures, Variant, and Archetype
to build a perpetual market for crypto, US stocks, and private assets
Founder name revealed as 𝗞𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻
But the last name was missing, the CoinDesk article says the cofounder declined to give his last name
and this is where they got caught
launching a project with $15M funding but the founder is not comfortable revealing his last name or family name
that never makes any sense
And when you go through the account of the cofounder of Perennial
@kbrizzle_ (Kevin Britz)
You will find his last tweet was on July 24, 2025
After that he never tweeted again
But when you go through his following list, you will see he is following @cascade_xyz
and the growth manager of Cascade @ ben_casde
Where the Cascade account was already live in the month of July itself
and Ben’s account was created in the month of September
So you can see the complete connection between Cascade and Kevin
and it’s 100% confirmed that @ kbrizzle_ is the same founder of Cascade who is being hidden by the team
not only this, if you go through frontend API data
You will find Cascade is running under Perennial’s infrastructure
and the debate ends here
Cascade was the only project the Perennial team mentioned back in July 2025 and @ kbrizzle_ is the account of Kevin who was mentioned by CoinDesk as the founder of Cascade
So what to do now?
Cascade is going to open vault of $1.5M on the 6th
before that, the team should come forward and answer all the questions that have been floating around CT, with a proper founder reveal
What am I gonna do?
Previously, I was bullish on them after seeing good investors and @ben_cascade
support for early users, he gave many codes to early users, including me
but after seeing the history, I’m no longer as bullish as before
Also, it’s scary, team is going to open a $1.5M vault in the next 3 days, but they’re not comfortable revealing the CEO
and not made any tweet yet, even after so much FUD on CT
and it’s still not confirmed whether the funds raised from VCs are of Cascade or they’re Perennial funds that they raised before
Too many shaky things going around, and that’s never a good sign for a project
I’ll just suggest or I go with: if you’re aping into their upcoming vault, don’t go in with blind money out of FOMO
Use only the amount you can afford to lose and that won’t affect your personal life
Else, DYOR
Stay safe!!
