WEST CONDEMNS ARSONISTS IN FRANCE
BUT PRAISES THEM IN HONG KONG
The shocking events in France and other parts of Europe are showing the world something:
Peaceful protesters and violent arsonist criminals are NOT THE SAME THING.
Many western columnists have condemned the actions of protesters who burn buildings and smash up shops.
Yet these same people, to this day, still praise Hong Kong’s violent criminals. Here are some things worth remembering.
- The west’s “golden child” Joshua Wong repeatedly said protests had to be supplemented with violence: “We won’t achieve our goals through purely peaceful protest alone nor through violence alone: we need both.”
- The west’s older golden boy Jimmy Lai ordered reluctant Apple Daily staff to present pro-violence protesters positively, as they testified in court. They printed positive interviews with the leaders of the Dragon Slayer Brigade, who later admitted preparing bombs and guns for a terrorist grade “mass casualty” attacks in Wan Chai or Mongkok.
- Court records show Nathan Law and his associates committed “a large-scale unlawful assembly, involving violence” in the Admiralty district of Hong Kong. At least 10 people were injured, one seriously.
- Joey Siu, an American, was a defender of violence, including in a notorious TV interview.
- On a single day during 2019, violent Hong Kong protesters attacked 44 MTR (metro) stations, smashed up multiple offices of democratically elected representatives, and wrecked or firebombed numerous civil service premises. At least 66 people were hospitalized. Western media said the protests were “largely peaceful”.
- At a secret meeting in Taiwan in 2020, Jimmy Lai offered 10,000 British pounds to UK pro-violence activist Finn Lau, known as Mutual Destruction Bro to take a leading role in the protests.
- Academic Benny Tai distributed a plan to use loopholes in the city’s governance system to create quote “a constitutional weapon of mass destruction” that would paralyze Hong Kong, which he hoped “will see increasingly fierce resistance in the streets with an equally bloody crackdown”. (What strange thing to hope for!)
- Jim Cunningham, Jimmy Lai’s main contact in Washington DC, eventually wrote confidentially to the publisher and his assistant Mark Simon that the US State Department wanted the violence toned down.
But by then it was too late.

1. There’s no “immoral act” on earth that warrants this punishment if not that religion, in the case Islam, is a plague on humanity.
2. To correct the poster’s claim: they were not married and the exact immoral act was not stated.
3. Looking forward to how the United States reacts, given that Saudi Arabia is its close ally. Are we going to see a U.S. led regime change campaign in Saudi to boot out “radical Islam?.”
Fingers crossed 🤞
Trending Story: Saudi Arabia has exe/cuted two Bangladeshi nationals, Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siri Akhtar, following conviction of immoral sexual act inside a mosque in Mecca.
The “immoral act” was apparently a kiss on the forehead. They were newlyweds who decided to spend their honeymoon in Mecca.
According to reports in Bangladesh, Saudi authorities refused to consider they were a couple, and the forehead kiss was an expression of appreciation to Allah for a beautiful bride.
Their bodies have arrived in Bangladesh in two coffins for traditional burial rites.

Dear Africans, Are You Protecting Your Interests?
It's 2026 and the world has seen an indicted war criminal with an outstanding ICC arrest warrant address the UN General Assembly, months after a country's military invaded another country, kidnapped its sitting president and his wife, and locked them up like criminals in a prison in New York where they face trumped up charges.
The state of geopolitics and international relations in the 21st century has never left less room for doubt about the fact that interests and power - not rules - are the true animating force behind how the world works. In this commentary, @big_mck asks Africans the obvious question - who is protecting African interests?

Apart from the fact that this stale and recycled exaggeration is factually incorrect, because Paul Biya actually returned from his last trip since August, his “absentee leadership” is also exactly how those who put him in charge want it.
Which is why Amerika, the self-proclaimed leader of the “free world,” rushed to congratulate him on his eighth term, salivating over a continued "strong partnership" and their so-called "shared goals."
As you for you, Africa Today Media, better change that bio of yours, because you neither unveil truth, empower minds not spark conversations that matter.

Using a colonial language such as English or French as a measure of intelligence in Africa should actually qualify as treason, if we are being serious.
“Mock” people for how they speak if you will (if that makes you sleep better at night), but enshrining a colonial language as our continent’s cognitive testing system is something we should never accept.
If the Oyibo demands “IELTS” from us for migration purposes, that is their prerogative. We have no business imposing the same standard on ourselves simply to exist or contribute ideas within our own continent.

In America (a.k.a Saner Clime), it’s called gift card.
In Africa it’s called bribery/vote buying.
Interesting.
Oyibo go whine you about integrity and morals, no worry.

Is the obvious answer not that China doesn’t need to steal talents like your America does. 🤷🏾♂️
America destabilizes developing nations, creating conditions that force talents like this to japa and become one of the stolen talents, resulting in a loss for your country.
China does not need to, because it has talents in abundance.

There’s no difference between JD Vance and Yemi Osinbajo. Politicians are the same everywhere.
Vance is confronted by the emotional husband of a soldier killed in Iran War and acts like he had no idea anyone ever died:
Q: It's a hard price to pay. There's a failure in the leadership. How will the leadership be held accountable?
Vance: If there were failures... This is the first time I've heard of this.

It is worth noting that Texas is arguably the highest-stakes battleground in the upcoming midterms, think of it as a Lagos, Rivers or Kano in Nigerian elections, and it’s conveniently the state where this glitch has happened.
Saner clime election rigging in process.
BREAKING: A computer glitch just left nearly 600,000 Texans’ voter registrations in limbo, days before early voting starts.
Texas is scrambling to process a backlog of nearly 600,000 voter registrations after a state computer failure, with early voting opening Monday, per The Guardian.
From October 2025 to February 2026, Texans who chose to register to vote on the Department of Public Safety’s driver’s license website got receipts confirming it.
But their registrations were never actually recorded.

R*cist Charlotte Cops: 'How Many N****** Can You Arrest?'
R*cist texts led to an internal investigation of more than a half-dozen officers in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department in the US state of North Carolina.
Officers were apparently competing to arrest the most Black people and using the N-word in their messages.

This Timi Dokolo situation proves once again that Nigerians do not know what their problem is.
“Democracy” is the problem.
Until this imported system is ditched, Nigerians will continue to misdiagnose their problems and prescribe the wrong solutions.
