Today I’m looking at a quarter of Woody Nelson Country Club Beach Wedding, which was grown by Home Growers out of Alberta. I bought it locally for $61 plus tax.
Beach Wedding is a cross between Tropicana Cookies and Wedding Cake, and they’re calling it an indica.

Cannabis users had less cognitive decline from age 20 to 64 than non-users!
Researchers compared intelligence-test scores from about age 20 and age 64 in 5,162 Danish men, along with lifestyle data.
Men who had used cannabis showed less cognitive decline over roughly 44 years than non-users.
Starting younger or using more often was not linked to greater decline.
Overall, the study found no significant harmful effect of cannabis use on age-related cognitive decline.

Patients with Cannabis in System Show Better TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) Outcomes!
Patients who tested positive for cannabis:
Were more likely to be discharged directly home rather than to another care facility.
Had better outcomes on the modified Rankin Scale (mRS) at discharge, which measures disability and dependence in daily activities.
Had shorter hospital stays.

CBN & CBG killed acute myeloid leukemia cells in the lab.
THC and CBD can slow cancer growth, stop it spreading, and kill cancer cells via the body’s endocannabinoid system.
This study tested CBN and CBG on THP-1 leukemia cells.
Both slowed cell growth, stopped cell division, and caused cell death, depending on dose and time.
Higher doses appeared to raise p53, a protein that can trigger cell death.
CBG and CBN showed anti-leukemia effects.

The Generational Flip: Are Teens Ditching Weed While Seniors Are Using More? What the Latest US Data Shows
Cannabis use among U.S. teens has declined substantially even as adult-use legalization has expanded, challenging predictions that regulated markets would necessarily drive higher consumption among young people. Meanwhile, national data show cannabis use rising among adults 65 and older, while a recent New York City study highlights both the reasons seniors are using it and the potential risks that come with that shift.

CBD + THC combo resulted in less inflammation, less pain signaling, more repair in tooth-pulp cells.
The CBD + THC mix reduced “bad” inflammation chemicals more than either compound alone.
It increased a “good” anti-inflammation chemical (IL-10).
It boosted pain-related receptors (CNR1, CNR2) and adjusted another pain sensor (TRPV1).

Study Finds Hemp Seed Beverage May Reduce Cholesterol, Inflammation and Liver Stress
A beverage made from hemp seeds significantly reduced cholesterol, inflammation and several markers of liver stress in a new preclinical study published today in the journal Discover Food.
Researchers from Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine found that the hemp seed beverage significantly reduced total cholesterol and free fatty acids while increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, commonly known as HDL or “good” cholesterol.

Could cannabis be the key to lasting health?
"Conclusions: Statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvements in overall HRQL, fatigue, and sleep disturbance were maintained over 12-months in patients prescribed medical cannabis for chronic health conditions.
Anxiety, depression, insomnia, and pain also improved over time for those with corresponding health conditions."

Could CBD Fight Oral Cancer?
CBD slows down oral cancer growth by damaging cancer cell DNA.
Higher doses and longer exposure to CBD lead to more cancer cell death.
Doses of CBD at or above 25 micromolar greatly reduce cancer cell survival.
CBD might be a new treatment option for oral squamous cell carcinoma due to its ability to kill cancer cells.

Could Cannabis Be an Asthma Game-Changer?
Both THC and salbutamol improved breathing significantly.
Salbutamol worked faster, but after one hour, both THC and salbutamol were equally good at opening airways.
Neither drug caused heart issues or mood changes.
How THC works: It helps asthma differently than typical asthma drugs (like salbutamol), suggesting THC or a similar compound could be a helpful add-on treatment for some asthma patients.

Can Cannabis Boost Cancer Treatment?
Back in 1975, animal studies first showed that THC and other plant-based compounds (phytocannabinoids) could fight cancer.
In the early 1990s, scientists learned about the body's endocannabinoid system, and many studies confirmed these anti-cancer effects across different types of tumors.
Research shows cannabinoids can target key aspects of tumor growth, making them a hot topic for new cancer treatments.
Early studies suggest combining cannabinoids with chemotherapy could make chemo work better and help when tumors resist treatment.
