22 metric tonnes of life-saving medicines and emergency surgery supplies are now en route to #Lebanon by land convoy from @WHO’s Global Logistics Hub in #Dubai.
The supplies—which arrive next week—will support Lebanon’s capacity to respond to rising health needs, including burn management, trauma stabilization, surgical interventions, hemorrhage control, anaesthesia and anaphylaxis management.
Today’s shipment was made possible through the continued support of @DXBHumanitarian and the Government of the United Arab Emirates.
Thanks to UAE’s leadership, WHO’s Global Logistics Hub—the backbone of our emergency supply chain—continues to deliver vital health supplies even as the crisis disrupts logistics across the Middle East and beyond.
I am immensely proud of WHO’s logistics teams, working under extremely difficult conditions to overcome challenges and find every possible way to get health supplies to people in need.
WHO calls on all parties to protect civilians and health care, ensure unimpeded humanitarian access, and take urgent steps to de-escalate.

Over the next 48 hours, WHO’s Hub for Global Health Emergencies Logistics in Dubai—working with @WFP and @eu_echo—will send 3 emergency air charters to support our ongoing health responses in Gaza, Libya, and Yemen.
On board are 92 metric tons of medical supplies worth USD 3.5 million. They include treatments for infectious diseases, cancer, hypertension, and diabetes that will keep essential health services running during a time of severe strain.
@WHO’s Hub for Global Health Emergencies Logistics is one of the world’s most agile humanitarian health lifelines, enabling us to reach more people, faster, while bringing down the cost of treating each patient through a highly efficient supply chain.
Grateful to all partners and colleagues whose work makes these operations possible, and to #UAE and @DXBHumanitarian for hosting this essential Hub that makes our rapid and life-saving heath response possible.

The first flight with @WHO medical supplies - enough to treat tens of thousands of people with injuries - arrived in Beirut, #Lebanon, an hour ago.
Two more flights are planned to arrive this afternoon, carrying more trauma supplies, as well as mental health and cholera supplies. Another flight is also due to land in Beirut tomorrow.
We thank the UAE and @DXBHumanitarian for their rapid and substantial support to make this happen.

A plane with @WHO medical supplies to support the urgent health needs in Gaza has landed in Al Arish, #Egypt - close to the Rafah crossing.
We’re ready to deploy the supplies as soon as humanitarian access through the crossing is established.
We continue our plea to Israel to reconsider the decision to evacuate 1.1 million people. It will be a human tragedy.
